The topic at hand is abortion. Do you agree with the Church that it is evil? Do you believe that abortion on demand is willful, premeditated homicide?

Of course.Do you agree with the Church that it is evil?
I believe that the willful, premeditated procuring or providing an abortion is homicide.Do you believe that abortion on demand is willful, premeditated homicide?
Adultery and fornication don’t result in the death of an innocent third party, abortion does, which is why it is different. For example, I think it fair to say that no one here “supports” adultery or fornication. At the same time I think that very few, if any, think that government should act to proscribe them.
Are we repeating our posts for a reason? Just so I don’t feel left out…Abortion is the greatest ongoing evil today. Nothing else comes close.
I believe if I were one of the Rohingya, I might feel differently.
(And yes: before you administer another purity test, I am fully and completely pro-life.)
I wish I can believe him to be pro life but I don’t. I believe he is only doing this as a political strategy to buy the winning swing votes of the Catholics. That’s all.If he speaks and / or acts to protect them, he is doing God’s work and to that I’ll simply say, Deo gratias!
All of the past presidents had no problem releasing their taxes as a public political figure. He had the audacity to question President Obama’s birth certificate and Obama gladly released it. Why can’t Trump release his questionable tax returns? So? I’m not going to release my tax returns either…does that mean I’m hiding something? What about you? I haven’t seen your tax returns. What are you hiding?
No one is trivializing abortion. That straw man just doesn’t work here. Perhaps, though, you should consider that the Church recognizes many forms of evil, including genocide, that aren’t simply the “latest, temporary humanitarian” crises. It’s frightening and demeaning to describe victims of genocide in this way.Sorry. There is no way I can be convinced to trivialize abortion by comparing it to the latest, temporary humanitarian crisis, troubling though that crisis may be.
I’ll be muting any further replies.
I disagree. Not even President Clinton could escape the bombardment of media. He was even impeached for his sexual misconduct. Liberal men, even of no political power cannot escape the scrutiny and are chewed by the media, also. Harvey Weinstein, Les Moonves, Matt Lauer, O.J. Simpson, Michael Jackson, Bill Cosby… It’s amazing that Trump is able to escape his past sexual sins. Just saying…I could pretty much bet that if President Trump was pro-abortion, you would never hear about any of these things from the leftist media.
Yes, if they are a burden to the mother, unwanted by the father or have physical handicaps.Do you think that people have a goal of murdering unborn human beings?
I think that power is very attractive for some. Killing others to materially advance one’s interests is not a new story in mankind’s history. What or who could influence a large group of people to believe that murdering unborn human beings is such a vitally important goal?
Yes, if they are a burden to the mother, unwanted by the father or have physical handicaps.
Do you differentiate these people who have or advocate abortions from those who don not want the government to prohibit them? Do you consider people in the latter category people who have the goal of murdering unborn human beings?I know some do
It is different. And adultery and fornication are different. But what has that to do with the issue of “support”?Adultery and fornication don’t result in the death of an innocent third party, abortion does, which is why it is different.
