What is AFA?
That sucks. It would have been a hilarious episode.Action by AFA Online supporters has cause NBC to pull the offensive segment scheduled for the April 6th episode of Will and Grace.
In an attempt to confuse the public, the network issued an intentionally misleading statement which left the impression that AFA had lied to our supporters. Here is the statement NBC sent to their affiliates for the affiliate to use in responding to emails and calls:
*Some erroneous information was mistakenly included in a press release describing an upcoming episode of “Will & Grace” which, in fact, has yet to be written. The reference to “Cruci-fxins” will not be in the show and the storyline will not contain a Christian characterization at all.*NBC did not say that they (NBC) had issued the “erroneous information” but left the reader with the impression that AFA had issued the "erroneous information."
When NBC said that the script “has yet to be written,” what they didn’t tell you is that the “story board” had been completed and the offensive material was scheduled to be a part of the episode. The story board contains the outline of the program. That is the reason for the detailed description of the episode issued by NBC in their initial press release.
For a better understanding of this deception by NBC written by a third party, [click here](javascriptl(‘http://www.afa.net/sites/nbc_willandgrace.htm’)
.
The bottom line is that the actions taken by AFA Online supporters like you caused them to rewrite the episode and remove the offensive segment!
Thanks for caring enough to get involved. If you think our efforts are worthy, would you consider making a small donation to help us continue. Please [click here](javascriptl(‘http://www.afa.net/donate.asp’)

:tsktsk: Only have one thing to say to you and that is this: IF YOU CAN’T STAND FOR SOMETHING YOU’LL FALL FOR ANYTHING!OMG you people are crazy. You seriously are going to write letters and complain to get shows taken off the air. In which you don’t support or like. You do know there are like 200 stations, so at that gving time of said episode/show you can watch something eles?
I mean I hate the 700 club, or any other boring religious mumbo jumbo on TV, but I respect that others enjoy and watch it. Shoudl I and all my friends, and all my family members write to get thsoe shows cancelled.
Why can’t yuo just let people read, and watch what they want? This is America home of the free. I have to deal with bible thumbers telling me lies, like I am going to hell for being gay, which is so not true because god loves me for being gay, but yet we can’t have Britney Spears pretend to be Christian and then liek a gay man. Why, because you are all followers Fred Phelps??
Well said!We have an obligation to resist the strong immoral forces that are poisoning our society through any media. And when they specifically attack our faith on one of the highest of holy days… yer dang right we are gunna howl about it.
You don’t have to be actually a viewer of these shows to know the influence they have on culture - the lies they spread, and the poison they spew. I don’t go to adult stores, but if they come to my community I am going to protest their presence.
This is a tactic of the defenders of evil. “Just ignore it, …You don’t have to watch it”… Meanwhile, your culture is being destroyed.
But complaining about TV is so much easier. It’s always easier to cmplain about what the other guy does wrong than to do something right.I am gravely concerned that we have better things to do than worry about the garbage on NBC. We need vocations to the priesthood and religious life. We need people to minister to the sick, dying, and homeless. We need people to volunteer their time and talents to make this world a better place. I would be happier if we Catholics would make those things a priority instead of worrying about what’s on TV.
Shut it off and go help someone.
Lets just say the television is not helping our situation. When you get young men to lust after every woman from a young age, when you take the name of Christ and make a mockery out of it. If I was not already doing things to help spread God’s word and my only mission was the television than yes I could see your point. But believe me I do my share and then some. You could verify that with any priest I work for. But to sign your name and click a button takes much less time to do than to type this post.I am gravely concerned that we have better things to do than worry about the garbage on NBC. In recognition of that I will leave one of my TVs on during Desparate Housewives. I won’t be watching the show, but it’s my own personal petition. Each TV has its own cable box, so that will trigger the rating count in the cable system.Yup and Yup!!!![]()
Excellent! So given that info I will trigger an EWTN count to counter yours, plus my petition to the sponsors. In recognition of that I will leave one of my TVs on during Desparate Housewives.
