Hello everyone, Christ is Born, Glorify Him!!!
I would like to share a quick story followed by prayers for this young man. Today around 10:20 a.m. I was on my way to class and noticed I did not have any gas to go to school, as a result I drove to my grandmothers house which is about 5 to 6 blocks from my class in the south side of Birmingham. My plan was to hangout with my grandmother and leave from there on foot to class while my car would sit at her house. Well as im getting my jacket zipped up and putting on my backpack a young man approached me asking to use my phone. I hesitated to give him my phone at first and thought to myself how rude of me, so after dialing the number for him I gve him the phone. His lost opportunities at finding someone on the other end of the line was followed by his brief run down of what was going on in his life. He was walking home after being behind bars in the county and needed to get in touch with his boss to let him know what was going on. He followed that up by saying he was going to try to retrieve his clothes from a stranger who took him in, I thought to myself how nice that was. He then began to tell me that this stranger was a homosexual, which i’m not hating on, but I disliked the strangers motives. The boy told me the only reason why this guy let him in is only to fulfill some kind of sexual desire. He told me he was thankful, but knew thats what this guy wanted from him so he knew that he had to make some money quick to get out of dodge. He also told me that he used to be on heroin and then got clean using methadone. He told me that when he is in these scenarios as in this case, he feels like that one hit of heroine will ease his stress and disappointment. He told me he was from Georgia and couldn’t go back home because of trust issues and he knew he had to do good here in order to return and be accepted back home. I follow all of this with, make sure you treat everyone with the utmost respect regardless of race bias and or religion, because that was what your Savior did. And please do not do as I did and hesitate, just do it. I also ask for everyone who reads this to please pray for this young man, his name is Daniel. Pray for his salvation, pray for a way out to his torment and his current situation and most importantly pray for the intercession of our Theotokos, ever Virgin Mary to help and guide him, Thank you faithful and God Bless!
