I pray that he is in the care of the best Hands in existence, and that his guardian Angel is ministering to him. Amen!

He got a new central line to allow for dialysis. His kidneys aren’t working and he has been retaining fluids. Since he is in a coma they also put a tube to his stomach to allow for oral medication. When he was not in the coma, he would take any oral medication. Now they are able to give him something to take the water off. It seems to be working. It is hard to hear that he is in a coma, but he had been awake for 37 hours and was hallucinating so rest is good. They will keep him on the ventilator as long as possible because they would hate to put it in twice with his condition. Family is going to gather in MPLS for the holidays. I am glad that they will all be together. We can’t go as I am pregnant with a high risk pregnancy. We keep praying we can have one big party with a healthy nephew and a healthy baby.

Thank you for all the prayers. We all know that God is working wonders around all of us. It was a miracle alone that my nephew has been able to receive this treatment. He is almost at the cutoff for the age they were accepting and many children were turned down. We pray that this all brings about great success not just for my nephew but also for all children like him. Because this procedure uses stem cells from cord blood we also pray it is a success because it may save many unborn children who will not have to die for their stem cells.

God Bless~

Poor little guy. I’m still praying for his healing and recovery.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

The little guy is still in an induced coma. He is doing much better though. They have been able to get a lot of fluid off of him and give his kidneys, lungs, and heart a little rest. His family continues to praise God for each sign of improvement. Yesterday he had a white blood cell count. It was 1. We were all thrilled!!! It is a small accomplishment to some but huge to us. That means that his sister’s marrow is present and beginning to work.

Continue to pray!!! The coma was very hard for all of us to hear, but it has brought about progress. His dressings were needing to be changed and his wounds cleaned. This process takes an hour and a half to two hours when all is well. Before the coma he had gotten some loose and his hair had gotten in some of them. Because he was thrashing around they couldn’t do much. With the coma, they were able to address his soars better, make sure no hair was in any wound and give him a thorough redressing. They were able to get medication down him that has really helped with water retention and his oxygen sat. is much better. His kidneys are beginning to work better and he and his parents have been able get some much needed rest.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers!!! Our prayer is that he will be smiling by Christmas and out of the coma.

Dearest Lord Jesus, and Blessed Mother Mary, please send send Your choicest blessings and shower your loving care and concern upon this little boy, his auntie, and her unborn baby. Amen.

I got his blood cell count wrong. It was .1, and now it is up to .4. He was taken off the vent today and is holding his oxygen level. He was very wrestles at first until his mother finally just asked what it was he wanted. He wanted a coke. Of course he can’t have one yet, but he was able to have a wash cloth with an ice-cube. We are thankful to God for all the progress but we are also told to expect that his blood cell count may drop to zero again. We are praying all is well so his brother and sister can be with him for Christmas.

On a side note, his 10 year old brother is learning all kinds of things about country living. It seems he accidentally stuck his tongue to the pick-up bumper. We are all puzzled about the accidental part. Got to love him!!! He is keeping our spirits up in his own little way.

Thank you for all the prayers I absolutely know they are working.

My nephew sat up in bed and was even able to walk around a little bit.:extrahappy: We are thrilled!!! In no way is he out of the woods, but this is a wonderful Christmas gift!!!

Thank you all for your continued prayers!!!

May you and your family, especially the little guy, have a blessed Christmas. :gopray:

Lord Jesus Christ, I offer You this child’s suffering and disease, for love of You and for the recovery of this little one. With You nothing is impossible, You who cured thousands, and so, I place my trust and hope in Your Mercy: Have mercy, O Lord, have mercy on this child. And may Your work instill in all ours a greater love for You. If this is Your Will, Jesus, than let it be done. Amen.

O Jesus, meek and humble of hearts, make our hearts like unto Thine. Amen.
