The Chemo finally hit him. He has quit eating or drinking. they are relying on his central line for all nutrients. He doesn’t have a lot of energy right now, although he has been able to keep up his record of “Go Fish” wins. He will readily admit that he cheats to do it though. The transplant is scheduled for the 11th.

Please keep the prayers coming and thank you for all the prayers thus far!!
Lord, hear our prayers! Amen! Alleluia!

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

The little guy is having his transplant tomorrow. He is having a hard time urinating. It may be a side effect of the chemo, but to make sure they performed an ultrasound today. We haven’t heard how that went. The whole family is tired and looking forward to getting things underway. His sister is not good with pain and is very nervous about the bone marrow removal tomorrow. She is being so brave for an 11 year old. Please pray all goes well without any complications.

Merciful Lord, reveal Your love and compassion as these two children undergo medical procedures. Grant that the doctors, nurses and technicians who attend to them will reflect Your love to them. May their guardian Angels hover over them constantly, ministering to them and saving them from all harm. We fervently pray that this procedure is successful and that both may resume their lives, one for the first time. Graciously support their family with great strength of faith and trust as they undergo this trial. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Praying very hard for both of them and the success of the procedure!

Here are My SIL’s word. I left out the kid’s names.

Another quick entry. As I am typing the this, the new cells are going into Nephew. He is sleeping. It will take about 45 min to run. His BP and pulse will be monitored several times during the this process. The nurse will stay in the room during this time frame to monitor things. He is still having nausea and vomiting as well as the bladder pain. It is better though. He has also started to retain fluid, which we have been told is normal to a certain degree. His face and hands are getting pretty round. But for the most part, he seems to be on course with everything. We asked niece if she wanted to come in and see the transfusion, she looked at me with a wrinkled face and said, “no way”. The atmosphere is upbeat and we are excited. niece is doing great. She will probably be discharged in the next hour or so.

In the night he spiked a temperature. Please pray that the temp. goes down and that it isn’t very serious.

Praying for his recovery.

A spiking fever is associated with chemo. It happens to me about 3-4 days after each treatment. As long as it does not go too high, it is usually just something to monitor. He’s in the right place in any event. Still praying for him (and his sister). Amen! Alleluia!

He had a very rough night. He had a reaction to either the chemo other drugs or the transplant. He began to really scratch at his skin. Not a big deal for most but very serious for him. He was given some benadryl and then had trouble with breathing and his blood pressure wasn’t good. He ended up on oxygen most of the night but as of this afternoon he was back off. Pretty scary for all. They did do a chest ex-ray but we haven’t heard the results.

MIL and FIL went to get my niece and will bring her home this weekend. She is doing great.

Pray tonight is smoother.

The little guy was put on a ventilator today. His system is under to much stress. He thrashes all night and scratches at his skin. His oxygen levels were dropping and they can’t put a mask on him or it will cause the blisters to pop up on his face so they induced a coma and put him on a ventilator. Pray he makes a fast turn around.

Dear Blessed Mother, please caress this sick little boy as once you caressed your own dear Son, and let healing and health come to him quickly.
