And even if Roe vs Wad was overturned it would also have to overturn Planned Parenthood v. Casey as well.

I just don’t see it happening.

And if both were overturned, it would not outlaw abortion as some believe it would. It would just return the decision back to the States.

And there are loopholes within States where it would be outlawed:
  1. Coastal States: Abortion Provider could set up Floating Abortion Clinic beyond 12 miles.
  2. Land Locked States: An Indian Abortion Provider could set up Abortion Clinic on an Indian Reservation.
  3. Just cross state line and have procedure done.
  4. Alley and Underground abortion clinics would arise. ( where there is a will, there is a way )
  5. Order Abortifacients online.
  6. and any other way not thought of as yet.

The Supreme Court once decided that families could be owned, or sold off piecemeal.

Do you think the Supremes will someday “progress” to a Roman-style “paterfamilias” understanding of family rights?

Roe is about killing. I realize Democrats give it a candy coating in order to make it seem like “family decisionmaking” to deceive people, but it’s about killing human beings, pure and simple.

There are all kinds of ways to kill and to rationalize doing it. The question is whether we, as a people, want to give societal approval to killing innocent people.

Some cases in which Roe’s ruling regarding the constitutional right to privacy has been invoked:

Roe was cited in a case called In re Quinlan, which was one of the foundational right-to-die cases.

Roe was also cited in a New Jersey case called State v. Saunders that struck down that state’s law on fornication, or sex out of wedlock.

So Roe was influential in big precedents.

Never would I deny that corruption of soul metastasizes in a society. Manifestly it does. Hopefully with reconstitution of the Supreme Court, it may be arrested in whole or in part.

It’s all quite entertaining. Left sided snowflakes get to rant and rave and foam at the mouth, while the snowflakes on the right and the snowflake-in-chief get to cry “foul”, all the while, our media outlet of choice, be it NYT, CNN, or FOX just keep fanning the flames. It’s becoming pavlovian.

I think even you know that Roe v Wade isn’t going anywhere, that there probably isn’t a judge on a Federal bench that conceives of overturning it or later precedents. I think you’re just trying to come up for a justification for supporting the current Administration, and that justification is the slimmest of chances that somehow nearly a half century of jurisprudence will be overturned by some magical mix of Supreme Court justices.

Don’t you think purporting to read my mind and that of five Supreme Court justices is a bit more ambitious than your real capabilities equip you for?

We’ve killed innocents since the beginning of time.

God started it first when he flooded the earth and killed everyone except Noah and his immediate family. We have the Biblical Precedence for it. And if you keep reading the Old Testament, you will find some horrendous accounts of murdering of innocents at the orders of God or one of God’s chosen. Is it right? No. But it still exists in our religion.

Abortions have been happening ever since the first woman discovered certain herbs could cause a miscarriage a very long time ago. Abortion clinics facilitate the safeness of the process.

The Guttmacher Institutes estimates that 56 million abortions occur annually around the world., Our 900k ( as of 2014 ) is minute in comparison.

Isn’t it marvelous to sit back and spectate at the chaos?

And if the Chaos dies down, we have the media to whip us back into a frenzy.

Only 900 million innocent lives cut down? Even Stalin and Mao together could not claim as many.

Your approval of killing innocents is unlikely to persuade others here on CAF to do the same. However, such a view is not unlikely to infect a circle of persons who know you personally. That’s much to be regretted, and someday I expect you will regret having influenced others to be insouciant about killing.

I think you’ve boxed yourself in to an emotional and intellectual corner. No one is asking you to vote Democrat, but that hardly means that you have to just give the Administration a near-constant blanket defense. That this President may have accomplished some of his goals, it doesn’t take any inside saboteurs, Bob Woodward, Stormy Daniels are strange meetings between Jr. and Russians to tell you that this is a profoundly erratic man in the most powerful elected position in the world. If you’re hinging that whole defense on the unlikely circumstance that at least two Supreme Court rulings are going to somehow been unwound, then it’s hard to take your other defenses of Trump seriously.

Oh no, I don’t approve. I just point out the reality of the situation. It has been happening since the dawn of time when Cain killed Abel. And will continue way long after you and I have decayed to nothing. I chose to take off the Rose colored glasses of my Protestant Life long ago. Taken those off also lead me to the truth of the Catholic Church. But there are other truths that were exposed as well. And some of those truths are not so pretty to some. Not so pretty to some, that they refuse to take off the Rose color glasses or in some cases put them back on.

For some it is easier to live in a state of denial. Ignorance is bliss as the saying goes.

When trump announced his campaign, an old Repub. politico I barely know, belong to same gym, was a moaning and groaning in the locker room, and I chimed in that if anything trump would make the primaries interesting. He did and the election and his tenure in office has not been disappointing for the entertainment value. Except perhaps to the snobs who think that ritual and decorum are of any real value.

Trump is like Huckleberry Finn and he seems to be enjoying himself immensely which is really honking off all those overblown egoist/Spartacus types

I am not so sure Woodward hasn’t been played… foreigners it seems hang on every word and tweet that this guy shoves out. I am not sure things are not being orchestrated just to keep enemies off balance or acting like cats chasing a laser dot.
