Not at all–I think that they are better, by a large margin. Central Park doesn’t save a city that smells overpoweringly like urine in the summer.

True story. I say hi to everyone. I’m kinda known for it. Drives my wife nuts at times. :o 😃
Did it in NYC during the “Washington trip”. A few people said hi back, most with a surprised look on their faces. The vast majority just ignored me. That just wouldn’t happen in Dogpatch or Dry Hole or Small/Medium City.

Let’s see—a man who places little value on human freedom and human life, Bloomberg, endorses a wannabe dictator who is trying to consolidate all power in the executive branch, Obama. Makes perfect sense to me. We’ll soon see whether more people desire freedom, or cradle to grave radical socialism. The takers will soon find out that they have slaughtered the golden goose, and they’re going to be left with NOTHING. And, there will be no country left to bail us out from our greed and sense of entitlement. :rolleyes: Rob

Late July, and I’m flying back for 10 days on Thanksgiving Day. I like to make it about every six to eight weeks, so I’m a bit behind schedule right now.

The guy who spent tens of millions of dollars in order to be Der Commisar of New York, banned soda, smoking, and salt, has endorsed Obama! Say it aint so. Bloomberg has been a lifelong Democrat and made a switch when Guilliani left office to ride his coattails. You can take a man out of the Democrat Party, but you can’t take the Democrat out of the man. He’s just showing his true colors. The man is a dyed in the wool control freak, just like Obama.

A Democrat before seeking elective office, Bloomberg switched his registration in 2001 and ran for mayor as a Republican, winning the election that year and a second term in 2005.

In 2001, the incumbent mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, was ineligible for re-election, as the city limited the mayoralty to two consecutive terms. Several well-known New York City politicians aspired to succeed him. Bloomberg, a lifelong member of the Democratic Party, decided to run for mayor as a member of the Republican Party ticket.

Michael Bloomberg was a Republican so he could get Rudy Guilliani’s endorsement. As soon as it didn’t matter anymore, he ended the marriage. To call bloomberg a Republican is akin to calling Jesse James a faithful husband.
