Did you give the Priest all the information you gave us in your first post, Sophia? Including the fact that on the evening before posting you felt an impulse to use a razor on yourself. That is so serious and you need to give all the information to any Priest or Professional you talk to from now on. There is a way of giving only snippets of a situation in order to only get the response you want to hear and your not doing yourself any favours.
From what you have said, to me this bloke sounds to have a severe disorder and if that is the case, responding and reacting to him as you would a normal person is useless to your goal of loving him back to normal. I’m not a professional (although I’ve spent 10 years involved with a Catholic ministry that is devoted to pre-marriage education and post marriage counselling) so I could not offer a diagnosis based on your comments, however, you need to be prepared with information that could help you weigh all your options down the track. You’ve only been married two months and the degree of lying and deception so far is frankly mind blowing. No normal man could be so cruel to a woman. Especially offering only excuses and no apologies to boot. My suggestion is to have a bit of a cursory scan of the phenomenon of pathological lying and anti social personalities. Hold the signs somewhere in your heart just in case you need to make a critical decision at some point. There is always hope that most of us who’ve read your original post with that gripping feeling of dread, may be wrong, but you need to at least be forewarned about the alternative.
Take care, be as honest with the Professionals you talk to as possible and God Bless.
