who says I am married ?
Oh and one more thing for yâallâŚ
how is NFP open to God giving Life?
if a married couple never has intercourse, gee, guess what,no pregnancy!
so NFP prevents what God is âtrying to sendâ too!
Fancy name for birth control.
Right. Thanks for the responses. Obviously youâre not interesting in any kind of discourse. Weâve heard this rhetoric before, over and over and over again. Itâs old.Oh and one more thing for yâallâŚ

Right. It seems youâre not interested in any kind of discourse. Weâve heard this rhetoric before, over and over and over again. Itâs old. If you truly want the answers to what youâve asked, do a search on the forums or on www.catholic.com and youâll at least find a starting place. PM me if you need help searching; the forums can be hard to navigate for a newbie.Oh and one more thing for yâallâŚ

Incorrect. And if children are part of the deal in a catholic marriageâŚthen infertile couples would not be allowed to get married
and women who have gone through menopause would not be allowed to get married.
ever think of that ?
Youâre right⌠NFP CAN be abused⌠and when it is it falls into many of the same morality questions as artificial birth control.Oh and one more thing for yâallâŚ

Yep. Iâm infertile and still open to as many children as God will bless me with. Itâs the openness to life that God asks of us. Infertility, like NFP, is still being open to life, even if you never have a single child from it.And if children are part of the deal in a catholic marriageâŚthen infertile couples would not be allowed to get married

Then why not use NFP instead of the pill, which is harmful to the body and an abortificacient if its the same thing?Oh and one more thing for yâallâŚ

So are you or arenât you married? Have you formed your views on birth control as a single person only? Or have you formed your opinion that people shouldnât bring more children into the world if they donât have the money with your husband and because you have personally struggled financially?who says I am married ?![]()
Yep, and also thereâs the issue of what constitutes âgetting byââŚPersonally I think that if a two-income family canât afford one child, their expenses are out of control.I was able to read and absorb everything, but the only post that I slightly disagreed with said something along the lines of, âafter studying family history why is it that a family from the 1930s could afford 6-8 children on a manâs salary alone, but a couple with a two income household today claim to barely afford 1 child.â
Paraphrasing errors aside, I think itâs a bit disingenuous to say a family today making that claim is lying when compared to a family from the 30s. Having studied history, you notice that many families were larger, but this was before the advent of birth control. Also, more significant, it doesnât take into account issues of inflation and the fact that a lot of larger families barely made ends meet.
Very true. One of both partners might even be in serious credit card debt/loan debt/etc.Yep, and also thereâs the issue of what constitutes âgetting byââŚPersonally I think that if a two-income family canât afford one child, their expenses are out of control.
