One do you think it’s appropriate to discuss the physical damage done by weapons in graphic detail in this forum? Secondly yes the question could have been rephrased better. So here. If you believe the use of guns in the Middle East would prevent the extinction of Christians, do you believe guns should be used to protect the killing of unborn babies here in the United States? Please don’t dodge this question again.

Government plant? I think you maybe watching to many movies.
I will dodge any question I want too.

Secondly Yes I do think its appropriate to define what you mean by " damage done by these weapons" because if you really mean you want to ban weapons as powerful as a 5.56mm rifle then that implies you want near total gun confiscation and I think thats important to address. Especially since you’re a marine and wold be the type of person they would send to confiscate such arms

It can be accurate but the stopping power in comparison to say an Ak is dismall.

Adam Lanza did not use an AR 15 in the school, he left it in the car, and 4 handguns were recovered from the school
See, that’s just one of many unanswered questions for me.

Pete Williams reported during an NBC special report (you can find it on Youtube somewhere) that only four handguns were found and used inside the school. He cited “state and federal officials.”

Then there was the coroner who reported on TV that that the children were killed by a “long gun” which was the “primary weapon.” Then in response to a question regarding the wounds the coroner says, “it is a good thing there is not going to be a prosecution because then I couldn’t answer that” and goes to say how all the wounds were caused by “the long weapon”. Then a minute later he is asked what caliber was used but refuses to answer it mumbling something about “if he says it in court they yell at me and don’t make me answer”. So, he answers some questions because there “will be no prosecution” and refuses to answer others on that same pretext. Strange. Actually, the coroner acted sort of funny the whole interview.

Then you had the footage of the police searching Lanza’s car and opening the trunk and finding the “long gun” which wasn’t an “assault rifle” but rather a shotgun.

Hmmm?

Anyway, there are to many unanswered questions in my mind. Yet, if you go to Wikipedia’s webpage summarizing this shooting (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Hook_Elementary_School_shooting#cite_note-conn-school-18), one gets the impression that this case is closed and all the fact are in. Yet, if you look at the citations on Wikipedia they are largely links to news articles. And we know how contradictory they have been.

Something stinks about this whole thing and I believe the midstream media once again has failed to do their job.
New gun law is terrible for law abiding citizens in NY. A semi atomatic rifle is the best tool of defense from intruders. I have read many stories of people who had to shoot multiple times to stop 1 intruder, 33 times on 1 occasion, imagine if there are multiple intruders

It is ridiclous for people to be allowed to keep their semi automatic rifles, and there must be many in ownership, yet you are banned from buying a new one

NY needs to oust Cuomo from office
Yes, shame on NY.

Shame also on the Obama Administration and the Democrat Party who do not have one shred of credibility on domestic gun violence or on the issue of “protecting children.”

By the way, the BEST home defense investment, next to a dog, is a shotgun IMHO.

I prefer man’s best friend.

Then he uses it. I have no problem defending himself. But why not rig the house with claymores and trip wires. Have a pack of guard dogs. M60 mounted on the top of the stairs. A MOAT AND DRAW BRIDGE. How much would be enough?

A field ablaze with strawmen…

Well the HOA says I can’t have a moat, but if I could… I would consider it…

I may have missed it here, but where are the advocates for home claymores? Missed that post…

Strawmen meaning I don’t want to answer the question. People want to say that they are taking away to much. This is the reverse How much should we be allowed to have?

If I wanted to be “safe” a few well placed claymores at a choke point would be near the top of my list.

LMAO HOA. Could you imagine the letters you would receive. Even better you filled it with alligators… Makes the complaint about flying my Clemson flag insignificant. But the moat does sound nice.

The wife let me install a trip wire attached to a frag grenade hidden nicely in the ceramic frog by the front door. But she ABSOLUTELY refused to let me put up the claymores.

Last time I looked, explosives and fire arms have different definitions… I will check my handy Webster again to make sure. I am pretty sure there is difference target discrimination as well.

Is this thread about more useless gun laws or zombie apocalypse… just so I am on the same page? Because if we’re talking zombies I am all about the claymore idea.

Very true. Guns. But were would we place the Mk19. There could be some good arguments that its a gun. If were talking total protection from invaders. I would have to include it on my wishlist.

Better yet the old M79 thumpers. Gunlike. With a REALLY big round,

My personal chose, if i ever decided to get one, it would have to be the 7.62 M14.

Is that really a key point in your argument – where a Mk19 places in the grand scheme of things? Or is this thread now converted to GI Joe’s Christmas list?

Ahhh still bent on taking me to task are we, ok I’ll play. YES, where does the Mk19 and M79 stand on being a “guns?” There are some highly specialized rounds for the Barrett. Where do you draw the line on what someone is allowed to own.

G.I. Joe Christmas List? Funny. Sad thing is there are plenty of people who would love to get their hands on one. You being military should know that.

This has to be a record for being added to so many ignore lists so fast.
