Which is it? 97% or 90%?
Doesn’t matter when you’re talking about how the other services they provide account for far more than their abortions. Either number is far more. Even if it were 75%, that would be 3 times more.

I note that you ignored the rest of the post that demonstrates how PP fudged the numbers. And kimmie has gone well beyond that demonstrating how 97% of pregnant women that go to PP get abortions.

:hmmm:Well Rlg, I don’t suppose our Lord thought it was necessary to explain that you cannot expect to get 'blood out of a turnip".
Peace, Carlan
Amazingly, this wasn’t the attitude of Democrats during the Clinton administration, and no Democrats seem to be thankful for the incredible cuts Bush put in place for the “turnips.” This is why I see it as class envy, regardless of your and CMatt25’s protests to the contrary.

Because you and others can’t even acknowledge it, I say, fine, let the Bush tax cuts, all of them, expire. Take it back to where it was under Bill Clinton. Those were the glory days. Democrats never tire of telling us how the economy improved after Clinton raised taxes.

Gotta love those percentages. They are so good at making abortions seem so innocent, minimal and downplaying reality.

I would if I could find the women I saw interviewed attesting to going to PP for their primary care and bring them on to CAF to post.
Well you listen to anyone it seems 🙂

Planned Parenthood isn’t even licensed as a “Primary Care” provider.

I know a guy who knows a guy that swears his dog can read to him…C’mon

Laughable. But go ahead and pick what numbers you yourself choose to ignore I suppose because only conservatives can be right of course.

Ok you can judge. But not for me to judge where a woman says she goes for her primary care. I’m not walking in her shoes. 🤷

No, only that we’ve demonstrated how those numbers PP provides are laughable. They packaged them so that they can try to look less and less like an abortion provider. Go back and read the links provided and see how PP tries to equate giving a condom or a pack of contraception out is equivalent to providing an abortion. Not all “services” are equal, but PP seems to think so.

Now, of all services that PP provides which require a medical doctor, what percentage are abortion related? Do you really think PP’s primary reason for having doctors is to provide primary care?

Well, duh! Of course people support raising other people’s taxes.
I am sorry, but I just can’t believe how many Catholics on this board can be so selfish and irresponsible as to begrudge paying a fair share of tax to take care of our country’s commitments.
Go ahead and continue down the same road of denial, and then see what the pay off will be.
You will not have anyone to blame then but yourselves. Do you think we will be able pull it off out of thin air?
Where is the God given common sense?
Peace, Carlan

. I can’t believe how many Catholics on this board believe they can actually fulfill their obligation to help the poor by voting for a politician who promise to take other people’s money to do it for them.

The government is incapable of charity in that they have no money of their own. voting for a politician who promises to raise taxes to care for the poor is morally neutral as far as your personal obligation to care for the needy goes.

Some even stoop to sending obnoxious emails??? 🤷🤷

Thankfully, we don’t all stoop to that level.

hmmm…Very charitable 😦

This is truly offensive and obnoxious.
Ya, I hear ya. I get these derogatory, accusatory emails telling me how ignorant I am, and when I respond in defense, usually in an affable, gregarious manner, I am ignored. Some people need to grow up. 👍

If Planned Parenthood is DEA licensed as a clinic only. The woman must be mistaken.

You putting faith into someones testimony without investigation…and passing that rumor:shrug:🤷

How is it selfish of me to be for fairness across the board. I’m not anywhere near “wealthy,” so raising their taxes won’t hurt me. I’m thankful for the cuts I received under President Bush, aren’t you? Or, are you wealthy and pushing to raise your own taxes?

What is really horrific is the idea that a poor woman should have to get any kind of publicly funded care from an organization that has a vested interest in killing her child.

I didn’t answer it - AND turned off my personal email link, here at CAF, because of it. 😦

What we begrudge is the same as you: other people not paying their fair share of taxes. Why should 50% of Americans not pay any taxes at all? They only justification that makes sense is that poor people can’t afford to pay taxes. Really, do you believe 50% of Americans are so poor they can’t afford to pay taxes?

Ummm…ever heard of cutting spending? When I’m having trouble with my budget at home, do I just walk into my boss’ office and demand more money? Do I demand that Joe in the cubicle next to me should forego his raise this year and I should get it instead since I make less than him?
Nobody here is suggesting that we can create money out of thin air. Quite the opposite. Everyone here recognizes that the government is broke. The difference is that you think higher taxes will make up the shortfall and I (and many others here) think cutting spending will fix it.
Where is the God given common sense?

Indeed. I’m wondering the same about you.

Do you think 50% of Americans are poor? Is it get getting ‘blood out of a turnip’ to ask some of the lower middle class to pay something in taxes?
“There you go again” Suudy. Friend 'I am of the lower middle class crowd, and I gladly pay my fair share and I also do not begrudge giving my fair share to charity as the Scripture tells us we should do!
Peace, Carlan
