Just saw this in the Washington Examiner:

*Bill Clinton, campaigning for President Obama in Ohio yesterday, made a play for white voters in Ohio whom he thought had some animosity towards black Americans.

“[Clinton] said Mr. Romney’s plan would mean a 33 percent cut in Medicaid over 10 years,” the Toledo Blade reported. “While noting that Medicaid funds go to many minority families, he said, in a stage whisper, ‘Most of them are white folks.’”

Not to put too fine a point on it, Clinton added, “This is not a race deal, folks; this is an equal opportunity hosing.’’*

Race makes its appearance once more. 😦

They were doing it in a clearly favorable way in a pro-Obama song, versus its usage by someone like Michael Savage. Context is everything.
Now that you mention a name, OK. I thought you might be using the term generically. (according to the Obama DHS, because I reject a large federal government in favor of state and local authority and a pro-life person, I am a right wing extremist…so you can understand why I might take your comment a bit personally):

(U) Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
If the government wants to call me an extremist, so be it. But then when generic slams about “right wing extremists” are proffered, you, I’m sure, can see why I might bristle a bit. 😃

World Over Live is clearly right leaning.
Really? I thought it was very centrist…if not a bit left leaning.

Raymond Arroyo, while, personally a really nice guy (from the few times I’ve talked with him personally), I think really strains too much to be deferential to the leftist guests he hosts on his show. In fact, in the past several months, I have almost completely stopped watching the show because I think he is far too tolerant to the heretics he has on (in the name of “balance”)

So according to you we would never have any rules here, pretty simple really!
What Jason and I are telling you is that you have completely misread Dave, who is a solid Catholic and a truly great person. 😉

My best friend is way right of me. I always joke with him that I feel obliged to wear a tin foil hat in his presence just to stay on his wavelength.🙂

This storm is a nightmare for Romney.

Obama is speaking now and is coming across as very competent.

No thanks, I said I wondered if there was a motivation here earlier. If you can’/t address issues please do not talk to me and brag about your personal life all the time.
No one is bragging. A few of the guys were just talking about things they like. Scotch and cigars, e.g. Christine (qui est ce) and I are gin drinkers. I fancy myself a gourmet and excellent cook (easy enough to become when you live alone). All innocent enough pleasures as no one is bragging about being a falling down puking-in-the-street drunkard or talking about sexual conquests…

Abyssinia,

Your article about registrations in Cuyahoga County (Ohio) being down is significant. I note from the article: “In Cuyahoga County alone, there are about 80,000 fewer registered voters than there were four years ago.”

Cuyahoga County is very, very Democratic. This is the home of Boy Mayor Dennis Kucinich! 80,000 registrations down is a lot for this area.

Liberal Mother Jones said of Romney’s jeep ad
Technically, every word of this is true. Obama did force GM and Chrysler through a managed bankruptcy. Fiat did end up buying Chrysler. And Chrysler is thinking about building Jeeps in China
Obama bailed out Chrysler and as of 2010 Fiat has been looking to build Jeeps in China,
BAIC-Jeep later evolved into the now-defunct Beijing Benz-Daimler Chrysler company. Ever since the Daimler-Chrysler alliance broke down in 2009, Chrysler has no productions in China. Now that Fiat, Chrysler’s new owner, has officially returned to China and began building factories, there will be Chinese-made Jeep SUVs again in as early as 2014.
In a recent interview, John Kett, vice president and CEO of Chrysler’s Asia-Pacific operations, confirmed this, echoing Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne’s words that Fiat is to have a production capacity of 300,00 units a year in China within five years through its joint venture with GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group Co.). And Changsha, the capital of Hunan province, will be the location of the production base.
Fiat may be the only major automakers that suffered heavy losses in China in recent years. After losing tens of millions US dollars, it stopped partnership with Nanjing Auto, now part of SAIC. It temed up with GAC in late 2009 to give the Chinese market one more try.
And just this weekend, Fiat’s CEO Sergio Marchionne admitted the company had intentions of building jeeps in Europe as well. According to a Bloomberg News report:
To counter the severe slump in European sales, Marchionne is considering building Chrysler models in Italy, including Jeeps, for export to North America. The Italian government is evaluating tax rebates on export goods to help Fiat. Marchionne may announce details of his plan as soon as Oct. 30, the people said.

Was reported 9 days ago
Fiat is in “very detailed conversations” with its Chinese partner, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. (2238), about making Jeeps in the world’s largest auto market, said Mike Manley, chief operating officer of Fiat and Chrysler in Asia. Chrysler hasn’t built Jeeps there since before Fiat took control in 2009

This forum is for everyone. We should respect everyone. This might make this forum uncomfortable for some. There are areas of this forum to discuss Scotch or whatever. This is being reported.
Good grief.
