There’s a difference between asking for His Grace on our nation and asking for some politician to be elected. That cheapens God in my opinion.
When we are dealing with abortion on demand,restructuring our Constitution to transform our Country to the extent that our religious freedoms are being attacked? That we are so deeply in debt,that not only our future but that of our children and grandchildren will be comprismised? Hardly petty!I

It’s up to us to change that, not up to God. Or are we to sit on the sidelines and tell Hm to do all the heavy lifting?

This is what I pray everyday.Dear Lord !Have mercy on our Country.through your grace and guidance,may we may be blessed with a new president and another opportunity to once again become the Country our Forefathers envisioned.One Nation UndervGod,with Liberty and Justice for all.Please heal us of all the immorality,and godlessness that pervades our society.Heal if from our economic and racial strife… Does this sound partisan to You,Rich:confused:

What if it’s God’s will that whoever holds the office is there?
What about the opportunity to become the country He envisions…? I’m always led to pray for the world when I hear prayers for ‘our country’. The world is His creation and not just our little corner of it.

We don’t have the mind of God and do not know His ways. We pray the Our Father and we believe He answers prayer. ‘…His will be done on earth, as it is in heaven…’ Through Christ’s suffering man has a way. Maybe we are to suffer for God’s greater purpose? In the end, ‘His will be done, not ours.’ Isn’t that part of the example of Christ’s passion?

No. Plus, he is not going to get the historic turnout that he did 4 years ago. The Magic of the Unknown is gone. Obama can’t hide behind mystery anymore.

In other words, there were two polls, but they are favoring the one that shows a “larger lead and gaining momentum.” That’s a balanced way to report. 😛

That is exactly balanced reporting. Note: they gave print to the poll that disputes their results…that is the very definition of balanced.
