I wouldn’t regard that as shocking. I’d regard it as a fairly desperate calculation. They might well figure they’re in real trouble and that the most liberal of the Democrats are going to stay home, so he’s making sure the hard left is going to come back to the polls.

No, not a surprise, a gamble.
 
Most ignorant and cafeteria Catholics won’t have a problem with this issue. I am praying for all dissenters in the Church either change or leave the Church. Get out if you do not believe what is taught and refuse to change. Run to the Episcopal church.

Don’t think so. Reality he is failing in the polls and needs a strange coalition to get reelected. It includes the chattering elite, the credentialed class (those with a BS in angry chick, any angry minority studies), and the usual suspects that end up working in government jobs i.e. teachers and college kids. Most of all he needs gay money as he isn’t raking it in like he thought he could.

Majority of Americans don’t want same sex abominations sanctioned as marriage. In 32 out of 32 referendums it has failed even in California. Even as blacks came out and voted for Obama they passed prop 8.

So why now come out of the closet? He isn’t getting homosexual money, the college kids are not lining up to support him. He needs to distract the voters from his record so he wants a social issue campaign to run on. His calculus has him still holding onto minority voters regardless of their being insulted by well upper class homosexuals claiming discrimination and demanding to be a protected class so he chances little to attract the campus votes.
 
President Obama has chosen, for whatever reason(s), to clearly define himself over the last few months. He has set the table for November. There really is nothing unclear about who he is, and it will make for a stark difference in choice between him and Romney (no matter what you think of either, there is a stark difference).

Let the people decide.

Yet, my fellow Catholics, be not afraid, and never despair, for no matter whether the President wins or loses in November–God is still in control. Let’s try to keep our eyes, minds, lives, hearts and souls, on Christ. Always rememeber that we are in the world, but we are not of the world–our true home is Heaven, we are on pilgrimage on this earth.

The left has every legal civil right (including the President) to push for whatever agenda they desire (the right also has those same rights). That is, after all the talking is done, what freedom and Democratic Republics are all about. So, now we know with complete clarity what the choices are–no ambiguity at all. After 2,000 years of Catholic Church history, we know that the world and the Church have seen it all…nothing new under the sun.

John Paul the Great made famous that wonderful phrase: BE NOT AFRAID!

Why the Episcopal Church? And, if so, to what branch of it? Better to have said, “run to another church.” 🤷

On a bit of a tangent: working for state government in the mid-South, I have a lot of black co-workers. The majority will likely continue to support the President. But, three women I work with, two lawyers and an Admin Asst were outraged by the notion of same-sex marriage and said that they’re not going to vote for him on that account. Black people tend to be relatively conservative that way.

Two, like me, won’t vote GOP and won’t vote for Obama now. A few more drop-out voters. Good! 🙂

This is nothing short of a slight of hand move by Obama, the question shouldn’t be what his position is on Gay Marrage, the question should be what is his next move !

This issue of Gay Marrage as controversial as it is and as important as it is the stupidest thing the Obama administration has thus far decided to make into a bigger issue than it is.

Dec 31,2011 Obama signs into law the National Defense Authorization act, giving the Federal military the power to arrest any American Citizen,

The passing of Obama care and his strangle hold on religious freedom is another that been spotlighted and still isn’t over.

Obama takes 100% credit for the death of Osama Bin Laden when it was Navy Admiral William Mcraven who came up with the plan in the first place and then the Navy Seals who executed it, and what does our military get in return, a threat by the Obama Admin that if this fails all blame is to be placed on the Admiral, and instead of heros welcome for the Navy Seals, and a public display of gratitude by the White House by publicly pinning Medals of Honor on these Seals and the Admiral, Obama takes 100% credit. And on top of that Obama doesnt blink an eye when a Helicopter carrying more Seals crashes out in the Middle East.

Fast and Furious is the gun running scheme that is barely keeping up in the public news, and maybe just maybe this issue of Gay Marrage is an attempt to overshadow it. The Obama Administration wants us to forget about Eric Holders finger prints all over this little gem. And this is nothing short of Obama and his Admin attempting to get a major hold over the Second Amendment .

But yet Obama publicly admitting he supports Gay Marrage is now the tipping point ? Really ?

And anyone who wants to say Bush, Nixon, Regan, did this n this n this, guess what, you are right, and they did.

Pick up a book on George Washington and find out what he did to soliders who went A.W.O.L or to Traitors, Every President has issues , each deserving of attention and critisim.

But I think when the sheep do wake up they will see how Obama is by far the First and Worst President we have ever had.

His actions say way more than he could ever say in public.

So again while everyone is clamouring over his current stance on Gay Marrage, and even though it is a very important and controversial topic, Gay People getting married is not going to destroy America !

This is nothing but a slight of hand by Obama, and Joe Biden was his Scout, ( a Scout in the military is one who goes out in the field to test the waters, to do recon etc. )

See how people react to Biden, and then make the same statement…

So congrat to Biden and Obama, you have pulled the attention of America off track for a moment.

What is his next move.

Not really. There is one Episcopal church led by “bishop” Schori. It is liberal as can be. Most ignorant and cafeteria Catholics fall under that “church’s” beliefs. They are protestants that haven’t left the Catholic Church yet.

I think this is a major reason why Amendment One just passed in NC. I don’t know how many votes it will change in November, but I think it will take the wind out of the sails of some folks who seemed to think Obama was the Messiah in 2008.

  1. What those men did didn’t warrant the Medal of Honor.
  2. It is usual for the CiC to take credit for such a successful action. When Reagan got our hostages in Iran freed, he didn’t credit the pilot or the crew chief of the plane flying them out.
  3. Those SEALs didn’t not want a heroes’ welcome and said so. They were even uncomfortable with the details of the mission being disclosed.

You are wrong. Look up the ECUSA and the ACNA and see their differences. “bishop” Schori is Bishop Schori (would you have “Cardinal” Dolan of NYC or “Pope” Benedict XVI referred to as such?). 😦

It’s rather remarkable: Obama would like to shift everyone’s attention now to social issues–contraception, gay mariage, because as long as we’re all distracted by social issues, we’re not discussing the economy or the looming debt crisis.

Sure, there’s a downside. He further alienates social conservatives. But they weren’t going to vote for him anyway. And he cements his coalition of minority interests, such as gays and feminists and others.

The possible downside is the loss of some of the black and Hispanic vote, who generally oppose such things as gay marriage. But he’s counting on them to stay in the fold anyway, figuring they’ll hold their nose and vote for him as opposed to some rich one percenter.
