Today we give thanks to God for the leadership and person of Barack Obama. May God grant him the serenity to accept the things he cannot change, courage to change the things he can and wisdom to know the difference. Inspire him, oh Lord, to provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty in accordance with thy will.
Ya, YOU should pray for the serenity to accept the fact that he will not change.

GOP wants to ban abortion. That is not ok. Personal issues like this are not for the government to decide.
THe government is perfectly well within its limits to declare that murder is against the law.

Jesus Christ is still on the throne and He is with us- as Blessed John Paul II said Be Not Afraid- the Church is still the Church and even though I worked eight hours in the cold at the polls just to lose I know I was standing for life and I will continue to stand for life. This may be a test or chatisement or whatever or maybe it is an opportunity for the people of God to really shine because we all need each other with what is ahead.

Blessings,

Val

Half the country feel this way, heard it this morning, this is how close the election was. 1.5 million in a country of about 300,000,000, whatever it is is the difference.

Some of that difference has to be due to the collusion of the MSM to Democrats, a dumbed down America, and I don’t mean that negatively, we are heavily in debt and a party that panders to special interests. Entitlements is in there too.

And Red Land per counties is probably more of this nation.

Sometimes one has to learn their lessons the hard way and that may mean our nation in general.

Don’t feel despondent.
Just remember, WE WILL NOT be the ones who suffer. The ones most supporting of Obama will. We are willing to survive and cut back on work to spend more time with God and Family…the welfare-dependents need us more than we need them and they will be the ones who will suffer brutally by their own hand.

Well to me this shows that we are a post Christian nation.
Romney wasn’t perfect but I think he would have respected religeous liberty and done what he could to repeal Obamacare which will force abortions, asst suicide, contraception, ect on the population.
Romney pledged also to re-instate the Mexico city policy.
I feel sorry for the small business owners especially.
Of course, Jesus is still Lord and I figure this is Gods will but I was completley surprised by last nights outcome for presidential election and also my state rejected an ammendment defining marriage as one man and one woman by quite a lot. I guess that surprised me but then again this nation has so far departed from biblical values(I guess no surprise there)I mean we allow abortion to the tune of 50 million plus, vile programming on TV,ect.
Now that Obama is a lame duck president, he doesn’t have to worry about re-election so he’ll be free to show his true colors.
Well true Christians are going to stand out more and more in the coming days-I look for persecution here in this country in the near, not far, future if you truly stand for true Christianity.
Catholic hospitals, schools, ect will have to close if they don’t want to provide birth control to their employees and other small Christian businesses as well.

All I can say is May God Have Mercy on those who call themselves Christians and voted for 4 more years of this. :signofcross:

That they lean left is a certainty. That they colluded is absurd. Have you any links to that MSM admission?
But Crowley also admitted she took her cue to intervene from Obama. She said Libya was where Romney “tripped himself up.” But she clearly helped. After Romney made his point she cut in. “The president kept looking at me, going you … and I thought, well, I did know that, I said, he, you, he did, call it an act of terror.”

This hits the nail on the head. Get the extremists out of the GOP and start reaching out to the minorities and women.
Yeah. Now that the horse has gotten out of the barn.

The GOP has got to understand that they can’t succeed any longer with white male voters alone. Don’t they know that black people can become Republicans as can Latinos? 🤷

And what about women? All three groups went for Obama.

It’s amazing how well the free ice cream campaign works.

I agree, to an extent. It is clear that this country has changed and the Democrats have figured that out before the Republicans.

People want things given to them and the Democrats do a good job of that. Sadly, it looks like minorities are some of the biggest groups that want the government to take care of them. Hispanics are, apparently, more interested in un-restricted immigration than they are in anything else. I think there is room there for the GOP to make some headway.

African Americans are, as a group, never going to vote for the GOP. They are too well trained by the Democrats. After all, they are the group that has suffered the most during the President’s first term and they overwhelmingly voted for him again.

The argument for women is different. You have stated that you oppose the GOP because, to paraphrase you, the GOP needs to stop telling women what to do with their bodies. The unrestricted right to kill babies is one thing that I doubt the GOP will ever concede. President Obama did very well with single women but not nearly as well as with married women, so there is no “woman” vote as much as there are two “women’s” votes.

Class warfare works. The problem the GOP has is that it doesn’t see things in terms of class. The GOP feels that no one is stuck in their current socio-economic position. The Democrats have done a good job pitting those who have worked hard and succeeded against those who haven’t. I hope that the GOP never becomes as cynical as that. I hope and pray that one day we, as a country, can get back to the ideal that hard work and the associated rewards are something to be embraced, not penalized.

I am not optimistic about the likeliyhood of that happening.

Peace

Tim

LOL! One the basis of one example, it is presumed that the entire MSM colluded?

Will you accept that the entire GOP is racist if I provide one example of a racist GOP politician?
