No, Obama won because moochers outnumber the reliable, people who want more free stuff from the government outnumber the self-reliant. We have passed the tipping point and now will only slide into the mire. Enjoy your future.
Nonsense like that is why Obama has won. Americans have wisely decided to reject such right-wing-nut nonsense.

My big disappointment was Eliziabeth Warren defeating Scott Brown for the Senate.

I’m pleased that the Assisted Suicide Bill lost, but it was close.

Also, I believe now that Obama doesn’t have to worry about re-election over the next four years, he’ll return to his ideological center, which is where he actually is.

I also pray for him as president and ask the God inspire him to lead the nation well.

Maybe now that he doesn’t have to cater to the extreme left of the democratic party, he’ll have another meeting with Cardinal Dolan and give the Cardinal what he asked and expand the exemption of the HHS mandate.

Regardless how we all feel about the election results, we need to pray to God for our president and our nation.

Jim
I couldn’t agree more. Regarding the HHS mandate, I still believe that there is a simple compromise.

John

I have only one hope remaining.

It is my prayer that Obama does not have the opportunity to appoint three supreme court justices.

I am starting to suspend users who are gloating, lashing out or in other ways posting uncharitably.

Do you honestly think this administration is going to compromise with anyone? Why would they start now?
Because they really wouldn’t have to give much. It’s simple… religious employers provide coverage minus any objectionable with the ability of their employees to add coverage for contraception, etc., at their own expense.

I was reading demographics of the election last night, and about 55% of all women voted for Obama. If the GOP wants to win the future, they need to stop telling women what to do with their body. Women have spoken.

Aint going to happen. Remember what he told the Russian, after the election he’ll have more flexibility. Well, all the radicals in his party that he coalesced into beating the republicans will be out in force. They want their stuff he is going to have to deliver.

Yea they vote their lady parts and want free stuff from the government. 🤷

Better to lose in this world than to burn in the next one.

Better yet, what is the GOP telling women to do with their bodies?

Amen,

The Assisted Suicide Bill is becoming more and more alarming.

Obama has compromised before, and I hopeful that he will on the HHS mandate issue,

Jim

Does anybody think money bought the election?
It tried…the amount spent by both parties was obscene. Superpacs are one of the worst things to enter our political system ever. They should be eliminated and accountability returned to the system.

With all due respect, that is a pipe dream. Obama’s suggestion that the insurance company pay for abortion, contraception, etc., does not aid Catholic insurers or self-insured Catholic organizations. There is no viable compromise on the provision of the HHS mandate. Catholic organizations will have to pay the fine and face bankruptcy, violate Church dogma by accepting government-imposed insurance terms, or close down.
