Look on the bright side? It is Obama’s last term :o
It is not necessarily his last term. 4 years from now, he might change the law concerning two terms or a number of other things. For that matter, he might set up a successor to come after him, and voter fraud will be so rampant there will be no stopping them.

And so it has begun - Our friends own a business that employes male latinos. They came to work today hooting and hollering because they voted for Obama and he is their man. Well. my friend had to lay them off today, because three different jobs from three companies called and canceled the work to be done that would have employed them during the upcoming winter months.

All three companies said the same thing. They were now unwilling to put out the money due to the election results.

The five men were not smiling when they left for home.
Wait until you see the hiring and firing effect once ObamaCare is fully implemented. I personally know business owners who previously told me they will adjust their staff through cuts or conversion to part-time staff because of increased costs. Welcome to the new America. On a personal note, I wish the five men well and hope they find employment.

Yup. Only way they may ever possibly understand what they have done and the man they are cheering right now.
I tend to agree. It will take four more years on unemployment and no growth to make people realize the direction they are headed. Much like a child who refuses to listen. You don’t want to see them fall, but sometimes, that is the only way they will learn.

I sadly was worried before the election that God will simply let us bring ourselves to our knees before we are able to repair and rebuild.

if you don’t believe in a spiritual take, just look practically at the policies in place.

With tax increases coming, sequestration coming, and Obamacare’s full weight looming, does anyone see unemployment suddenly dropping magically? Major employers had already threatened layoffs and a reduction to part-time status if Obama was reelected. If you have a company of 50-65 people, is it easier to comply with the health care regulations, or simply cut back on workers to get below 50?

Unemployment has moved at a snail’s pace, primarily due to people drop out of the workforce. What reasons are there that it will suddenly change? That’s what i’d love to here.

It’s great if you believe in Obama’s ideology for America, but isn’t the point for the President to improve the situation in the country? If not that, then what?

I also hope they find employment, but they were stopping by the un-employment office first.

Unless he can manage to get the two term in office revoked and put himself in the Office of the President for unlimited terms.
while i wouldn’t put it past him, the constitution would forbid this. then again, when has Obama had time to read the Constitution. I don’t think he even knows what’s actually in it.

I doubt Obama would let a little thing like the Constitution get in the way of his plans to fundamentally change America. Hasn’t he proven that already?

I just remembered the stumble when he was taking his oath of office. Hmm. Ironic.

:whackadoo: Strictly a tin hat notion. You don’t know how our government works.

“Martyrs were cleansed and prepared for the Kingdom of God by fire, by being sawn asunder…We, however, are given a different cleansing. Each person is given his own: to one—a rough scouring, to another–a milder form of cleansing…” God knows what is best for us. Let us trust ourselves to His holy will, knowing that *the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. *(Rom 8:18).

These comments are going from being thoughtful to being “unglib”. I wonder who among us has taught Constitutional Law at a top 10 law school? Just say’n that sometimes it’s better to use actual facts instead of “other stuff” that sound good when you first say it.

Baloney. The Nazis instituted heavier criminal penalites for abortion. That is just fact.
The Nazis certainly were not “pro-Choice”, but they were not “anti-abortion” either. The Nazis believed that a woman’s body belonged to the State, and the State would decide what to do with it. The Nazis did not allow abortion for healthy “Aryan” German women, but demanded and forced abortion upon women deemed “unAryan” (i.e. Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, etc.) and “Aryan” German women who were thought to be feeble-minded, or have hereditary diseases. (Abortion in the New Europe, p.114)
Wanna say that again?

Cnn reports Obama has reached 270 seats and has been elected.

A sad day for abortion rights, but overall universal healthcare for all.
thank you and good night, know if they could only switch to the metric system, you guys are just like Canada 🙂
I have the fondest regards for our 51st state…who got Canada’s popular vote, Mitt or Barrack?
😃

No, he hasn’t. Do tell how he has changed the Constitution.

Are you really, seriously thinking that Obama will somehow have the ability to change the U.S. Constitution?

Really?

So, I wonder, when are all Catholic charities finally closing their doors?

You need to look up the definition, and if I see the word used one more time in reference to our President, I will immediately report the poster. This is not funny, cute or anything of the sort.

John
Let’s be honest, John, The man is a Trojan Horse. Take that as you will. Report me if you think that’s the answer. But that’s my opinion. And we have a right to voice our opinions here in a tactful and respectful manner. “Treasonous” is not an offensive or obscene word. And I will not allow you to dictate what we can or cannot say in this country about the President or anyone else that we please without the use of foul language or blaspheme.
