Feel free to start another thread on abortion and how evil it is. This thread is about gun control. A caveat, you will be preaching to the choir here.

Even better go to a forum with a majority hardcore radical feminist agenda and preach there.
Thanks, Catholic Pro-Life in relation to abortion and guns is quite a popular topic today I don’t know about with Democrats or Republicans specifically but a Catholic perspective. I know people must cringe and think oh no pro-life abortion and guns. Its a further complex Catholic thinking admittedly.

I don’t know what the feminist agenda is honestly. I am interested in the Catholic in regards to todays political debate of abortion guns and admittedly I added immigration/refugees.

Yes, racial profiling by itself isn’t good, but race is a valid component of effective profiling.
The TSA is a PITA because they ignore effective profiling.
What evidence do you have that the TSA is ignoring effective profiling? Do you know a TSA agent who told you this?

I would go a step further and say that anyone posting such a sick comment because of their own obvious political hatred of Obama because he shed tears over slaughtered children really is in need of confession for making such a disgusting statement not worthy of Catholic teaching nor worthy of this website
Admittedly thats a step further I agree, but its simply not true. So your gonna make the point I hate Obama?

Thanks

I’ve read it and the OP is an example, anecdotal though it may be. I’ll also linked to results from tests where they had a 95% failure rate in identifying threats.

Have to say, I really think his tears were sincere. You may not like him, you may not agree with him, and that is your right, but he’s a husband and father. He’s no monster. As a father of vulnerable daughters, he can identify with the Sandy Hook parents. I don’t think he’ll even get Secret Service protection once he leaves the White House. I thought Bush was supposed to be the last, but unsure about that.

You are free to believe and feel his pain all you want. You may like, agree and applaud him for being a husband and a father. You may be sincere. I suggest you are sincerely wrong. He does not have the fundamental qualities to be a champion of murdered innocents as he has taken actions repeatedly to protect the murder of innocents. As for being a loving and protective father, he has openly stated that he would not be against the killing of his vulnerable daughter’s babies if that is what they preferred rather than bringing them to life. These are not acts that are believable, acceptable or honorable. Speak out and defend our values; do not be duped.

In his speech last night, President Obama said the government should “make it harder for people to buy powerful assault weapons like the ones that were used in San Bernardino.” In its front-page editorial on Saturday, The New York

The tragedy in Connecticut forces America to confront a simple question: Why should we allow easy access to a weapon of mass destruction just because it could conceivably be referred to as a “gun”?
Assault Weapons, weapons of mass destruction? What are we talking about?

caintv.com/during-briefing-aps-matt-lee-a

I don’t understand our President finds all this a no-go, off the table, “unacceptable.” in a word.

caintv.com/during-briefing-aps-matt-lee-a
So, during a recent State Department briefing, the AP’s Matt Lee decided to ask the administration about the foreign policy “fantasyland” in which it lives. The answer is painful to watch, and is born from a level of denial worthy of the Iraqi information minister. If you listen closely, you can actually hear State Department spokesman John Kirby argue that “no” he doesn’t have to “accept reality.”
Unbelievable.
I think theres a problem defining these guns and you can further read my posts on the PA-Philly police officer shooting. One could read there and know what bullets clips and life looks like under 10 seconds. Further in relation to assault weapons it can’t be qualified. But yes I was thinking about this aspect of the gun control debate also its an issue.

Whats your thoughts? 🙂

Crocodile tears and phony platitudes expressed by Obama seeking to further his agenda of forcing his gun control legacy on America is the point. Commercials praising his display of sorrow for the children of Sandy Hook and whatever in Chicago need a reality check.

His desire for abortions is a major part of reality.

I agree. There are some politicians I don’t like - there are some non-politicians I don’t like - but I try to remember that they, too, are children of God, and Christ died for them as much as for me.

BTW, there aren’t many people I truly dislike. 😃 I usually find something good in everyone, and I’m very easygoing.

Although I am against abortion, I believe the measure of a man must include more than his views on abortion.

I respect your opinion, though, and it pains me that Obama is not anti-abortion. But I still think his tears were quite sincere.

Need of confession is a state that I try to keep on top of. So if you should be referring to my post regarding Obama’s phony display of emotions, try not to get too sanctimonious on me.
“Political hatred” must be a new category making one not worthy of Catholic teaching nor worthy of this website" sounds like a judgement coming from a liberal.

I figure Obama is a pretty big figure and really doesn’t have any regard for my opinions but I am pretty sure it isn’t a mortal sin to speak against him.

I don’t agree with Obama’s opinion of abortion either…or his support for SSM…I also didn’t vote for him for mainly those two reasons…but also because I don’t vote Democrat for a number of other reasons…for anyone to accuse him of crying crocodile tears because they don’t like him or his politics without showing just cause for their accusation is to break the 9th. commandment…you shall not bear false witness…These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren." —Proverbs 6:16-19

Great post, Peebo. I, too, do not believe in abortion or support SSM. Not at all. Ashamed to say I did not vote at all during the years Obama ran for president. I was in Europe. I could have voted, but did not. I take it more seriously now. A lot has happened since then that functioned as a wake up call for me regarding voting.

There is an old saying that goes like this: “To each his own”. When it comes to choosing whom to vote for I think that is a good thought.

Ok fair enough, "anyone to accuse him of crying crocodile tears because they don’t like him or his politics " but how is that relevant? I mean who? All I did was introduce a slightly bigger view of this moral dilemma? Think about it men in the US military that very moment were fighting for their lives and dying in Afghanistan in the same place we just fought for a couple years back. I guess they were usings weapons of mass destruction to defend our rights of life and liberty and in what war? On who again? Apparently the very people we ought be protecting ourselves from here? Amen

Sorry to disappoint…I’m not a liberal…neither did I see anything to accuse him of shedding crocodile tears in regard to the slaughter of innocent children…Obama may have no regard for your opinion…but God does…so if you want to make a false accusation against him without any support for your accusation then read what the 9th. commandment says about bearing false witness

I think we might have our wires crossed…I was replying in regard to a post by Grotto accusing Obama of shedding crocodile tears…I’m not talking specifically about the gun debate because it’s just a wasted argument that will go nowhere…

Get it straight. Do not accuse me of lying to express my evaluation of Obama’s conduct.
You prove he is above using appearance and never deceives in his statements.

God hears my opinions and I feel pretty close to Him. He knows I speak out against evil doers and hears my own admissions. I rely on His Mercy. It works for me! I step out in front and pray to defend and protect for Him. I am a Soldier of Christ. St. Peter is my friend. I pray for all sinners including my enemies.

I request that you not accuse me of grave sin - I am able to accuse myself when necessary.

I don’t have to prove anything…you are the one accusing Obama of shedding crocodile tears over slaughtered children…show proof that he was not genuine… or you are bearing false witness by your comment

Each of us is able to offer opinions. That is far short of false witness.

As a father of vulnerable daughters, he can identify with the Sandy Hook parents…
Which is probably why his girls are constantly surrounded by armed men. He recognizes that carrying guns offers protection for the ones he loves.
