Here it is: (Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

It’s probably St. John The Baptist but I can’t say for sure.

I have no idea what that is supposed to be.

What is on the button right next to it?

Its a wall of artwork students make that the teacher hangs up. It’s not like a framed painting lol.

I would pray and talk to the teacher about it. If the techer’s response is negative toward you, then go up the chain of command. While I would say that it is morally licit for you to destroy it, I think it would be more prudent to try to go to the teacher then, if necassary, up the chain of command. You also need to consider your safety. It might be best to anonymously e-mail the teacher and/or principal or whoever the school leader is.

God bless.

This is terrible. I attend a state school that has prideflags and “resist homophobia/biphobia/transphobia” posters everywhere! It is sad. But this picture is just religiously offensive and blasphemous.

I am truly sorry you have to see this image. Tell your headmaster it offends you.

God Bless

In the code for the photos was 666
What do you mean? What code? Where in the code? Do you just mean the file name, which is most likely automatically generated, included the number 666? I think you are worrying about nothing.

As for the picture, it’s just a not very good drawing of something a bit weird. I don’t think it has any theological significance. It’s probably somebody’s idea of a joke or making a statement. If you don’t like it, I’d just say ignore it.

I doubt 666 means anything significant, it was the dimensions of the picture I think. However I don’t think it’s right to leave up a disrespectful picture. Especially since it seems the flag seems to intentionally have 6 colors and isn’t just “a rainbow flag”. In any case, the creator obviously had blasphemous intent and didn’t give such an important figure their due respect.

Perhaps ask the person who drew it what his or her intent was. It’s not obvious that it’s intended to be blasphemous. It may be that the person who drew this is gay and identifies with the Minion characters and sees this as some kind of statement of personal identity. Who knows?

I take back my last post - please don’t act on this until you get more clarification.

So you don’t even know if it’s Jesus? Where are you getting the idea that this is a “minion?” Have you asked the artist to clarify what it means? It looks like a coloring page. Where did it come from?

It’s definitely a minion

The “artist” just drew this for an assignment to color in this sheet. My guess is that they found their drawing so amusing they asked the teacher to hang it up. Also, I don’t think it is Jesus now that I’ve viewed it closer. I honestly don’t think it would be such to ask the teacher to take it down, he is atheist but he says that he doesn’t show religious images.

I agree with you, but I think that it should be taken seriously and brought to the proper level of the school , I also just saw the picture of the image i don’t understand why the cross was drawn with the “gay pride” flag attached to the cross of our Lord I also don’t understand the initial “G” drawn onto the camel skin I think that it is in response to Our Lord but not sure. But if this is a public school it shouldn’t be up because of separation of church and state. The picture is in violation of separation of church and state again if and only if it is up in a public school .

Wait – this is another student’s artwork? No, you definitely should not remove it nor destroy it. That is completely outside your rights. Also, I’ll be honest, I would never have thought that was Jesus, nor that the flag holder is necessarily a cross. And I’m not sure it’s even John the Baptist.

I find it hard to visualize how you could see a “Minion” and know it was Jesus. Perhaps it is simply a Minion with a beard?

Once you are sure that is the intent, to portray Christ as a Minion, with your parents make an appeal to the School Administration, then the School Board and keep escalating.

The ACLU assists citizens when Civil Liberties, including things which cross the line as far as religion and public school, I would contact your local chapter.

ETA. Saw the posted coloring sheet. I agree with @redbetta

Is this a hill you want to “go to war” on?

Looks like a page from an Easter coloring book. The small thing in the back looks like a tomb with the stone rolled away. Easter images often show the risen Christ with a flag symbolizing victory over death.

thanks for clarification, I couldn’t tell what it was due to the color choices. If I remember correctly, the other ones didn’t have a flag, just a cross.

The most charitable thing you could do before raising a raucous and getting anyone into trouble is to clarify with the student the intent of the art work.

No I don’t want to go to war, I just want to either quietly ask the teacher to take it down or quietly take it down. The reason I was considering doing it myself was because it was more likely to not draw attention, especially if the teacher refused to take it down.
