Artel says he got his initial information about Ryan’s performance from a second-hand source, which means he didn’t witness it personally. If he now says that Ryan cleaned some dishes he must be also getting that information from someone else. At best this amounts to dueling second-hand sources.

How does a soup kitchen get run buy a guy that’s not even there? Has do they get that big of a bureaucracy that the person who claims to be running it doesn’t even know when a VIP is arriving for a photo op?

I agree, but that doesn’t explain “how” they got it wrong. Every local charity I’ve even been involved in has minimal levels of bureaucracy, this one appears to be run buy a guy who has no idea what is happening from day to day.

I can’t believe that this is whole thing is newsworthy but the press seems to think it is. When NBC is running headlines “Ryan did wash dirty dishes during soup kitchen visit” you have to smile that this is the best scandal they could come up with.
Now maybe they can focus on the blatant fabrications the other VP candidate has been uttering … crickets…Wait I forgot again… .this thread is supposed to be about whether or not Ryan washed the wrong pot and how doing so relates in any way to a presidential election.

Take the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit for example. It is run by (you guessed it) the Capuchin Friars.
The organization also includes a food and clothing distribution center.
Suppose I got permission to wash dishes in the soup kitchen from the Prior himself, but the brother who actually runs the soup kitchen was never informed.
That would be a similar case, would it not ( setting aside the fact that I am not, to my knowledge, running for office

who the hell cares if it is a photo op or not. Last I checked, it brings attention to your cause. For the President of the organization to make comments about the pan or pot not even being dirty is complete ********. GET REAL. He was not even at the location when paul ryan was visiting. He also used the words such as “he forced his way in” like he is some militant who came with guns and made his way with the women and priests to get in for his photo opp. Maybe your religion should spend more time focussing on child molestation and how to prevent your priests from molesting the children and not trying to cover it up.
