A victory for workers for sure!Good.I am one of those whose families would never have come this far were it not for the power of collective bargaining. While the power of unions must definitely have some counterbalancing forces, there is about as much justification for taking away the right to collective bargaining as there is for taking away the right of businesses to make a fair profit. What is it about balanced approaches (as opposed to extremes) that seem so hard for politicians to grasp?

Unfortunately, math is very important to the discussion. While I’m not sure about Ohio, from a national perspective, you can’t raise taxes enough on “the rich” to solve the spending problems our country has.

Obviously, the Issue 2 vote represents “the voice of the people”, while the Issue 3 vote represents “corporate interest interfering with our democracy”.
I hope Ohio enjoys their position as “the next Greece”, and continues to lose jobs to right to work states.

The only difference I see is that in one case you mind paying for products/services (you don’t chide your banks for forcing you to honor the checks) but in another case you do. My suggestion? Lobby politicians to dispense with the services you’d rather not have - don’t complain about being forced to pay for them once they’re delivered.

That thinking is so wrongheaded. It's downright scary that the only fat cats whom you don't fear are the ones who have the power to take our wealth and freedom away from us, those in the government.
