Just look at the investment that now is poring into Ukraine after they joined the EUs association agreement more investment has been coming into Ukraine than ever !! ACCORDING TO BLOOMBERG (bloomberg.com ) when taking a look over the winners and losers of 2017 and The Best and Worst Assets and investment of 2017 who came out on top ?? Yes you got it Ukraine came out as nr 1 in the World Yes It was a great year for copper ,Ukrainian stocks and palladium…

Here Are Best and Worst Assets of 2017

Bulls in Ukraine had a good year after the International Monetary Fund said in May that it sees “welcome signs of recovery” for the economy and “a promising basis for further growth.” It was part of a broader rally in emerging markets as investors flocked to developing nations in hopes of higher returns.

It wasn’t a good year, however, to have bet on stocks in Qatar and Pakistan like it was in Ukraine . The Persian Gulf country was thrown into chaos mid-year when Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut diplomatic and transport ties. In Pakistan, the index was coming from a high base, but also suffered from foreigners pulling money out of the market. (NOTE: We excluded the Venezuelan stock exchanges 3,865 percent gain this year because it’s almost entirely due to the effect of a rapidly devaluing currency.)

Take a look at this….
Best and Worst Performing Equity Indices of 2017, Ukraine came out as nr 1 in the world for 2017
Ukrainian economy was booming !!

These arms sale seem like a bad idea to me.
Yes. It seems to me that it would be a lot better if both sides come to an agreement to reduce the number of their weapons. Increasing the number of weapons on both sides will only increase the number of shootings, bombings, killings, etc., and will decrease the chances of reconciliation between both sides.

I agree with you analogy. The sales of additional weapons to them would seem like throwing gasoline on an open flame. Weapons manufacturers would continue to make a dandy profit, of course.

North America’s assistance to Ukraine is not limited to weapons only; it encompasses other domains as well. The Ukraine Cybersecurity Cooperation Act [H.R. 1997], the bipartisan legislation introduced by Congressmen Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-8) and Brendan F. Boyle (PA-13), unanimously passed the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Dec. 14. The bill encourages cooperation between the United States and Ukraine on matters of cybersecurity and requires State Department reporting to Congress on best practices to protect against future cyber-attacks.
“Helping Ukraine buttress its cyber defenses will also help the United States in developing new and more effective technologies and strategies in dealing with cyber security on the modern battlefield,” said Boyle, explaining the goal to be achieved, if the legislation becomes law.
It will make Ukraine a part of NATO cyber warfare effort being implemented according to its Cyber Defense Pledge.

The multinational war games took place in the northwestern part of the Black Sea, near the Ukrainian port city of Odessa. 17 nations took part in the training event. The preparations are on the way to hold another Sea Breeze exercise in 2018. Step by step, Ukraine is becoming an element of NATO’s military infrastructure, which could be used as a springboard for a cross-border attack against Russia.

Athanasiy, if you love your country so much, why don’t you go to Donbas and fight there for it? Keyboard warrior while your country is under attack… hmmm… Go express your patriotism like a man on a battle field.

I think I am more needed on other fronts of “cyber space”. During the beginning of the war I didn’t get it due to the fact that the recruiting office has my file.
(I was Evangelical Baptist who held alternative service in the ambulance for a 3 years, instead of military. for military service is not subject. I come from a family of Evangelical Baptists and graduated from Pentecostal Theological Seminary , was excluded from the Baptist community for Catholic views) My relative is a Pentecostal Pastor in Volnovakha(Donetsk region)
Yes, but the beginning of the war for me was a shock. You know, we clogged our intestines with very good life and everyone was in shock, and the war is sobering the man.
About volunteering, I think I was a bit, too, although not as much as I should.
While you play the role of peacemaker humanist “urging Ukraine to capitulate” several generations of your ancestors fought for freedom, and if they do not , you would now live in a totalitarian state.
And you enjoy the freedoms of your country and do not even wonder why millions of people dream to emigrate(to North America, to Western Europe) as from hell to heaven, and this is because theirs ancestors decided to submit

Some wars special services are preparing for a dozen years. Circumstances so far that the road back already is not present. A peaceful solution оf the problem is possible to compare with premature termination of pregnancy. Too late already started the process of pregnancy. Blood born nation.
Тheoretically, we could peacefully be separated, to improve the standards of living several times higher, to fight with our corrupt politicians instead of the separatists, and then the seceded regions themselves will beg to us to accept them, but here the situation is much more complicated than improving the quality of life. Here we are talking about the monster who gain power in the future will again terrorize half of the world.
Ukraine in this case is necessary as Bastion who is able to tame this monster.

Since you love Putin’s Russia so much, why don’t you go to a Chechen village square and declaim the virtues of Putin’s Russia and the unworthiness of their independence aspirations instead of sitting at your keyboard upbraiding Athanasiy? You’ll never convince him, but maybe among the Chechens…???

Sorry, but you invited it.

I am not Russian, that war in Ukraine is none of my business. I am only sympathetic to the Russian side, because come on, LGBT west, please…

LGBT is not banned in Russia.
The ardent fighters with LGBTS are persecuted by the authorities. Of course behind the scenes and unnoticed, but this state is not a stronghold of spirituality. I think that Church attendance in the Balkans, in Catholic Poland or the Adriatic Peninsula is much higher than in Russia.
At the influence of the Church on society, Hungarians, Croats, Poles are much higher.
On spirituality, and ecclesiological activity of the people the Russians may even be the envious towards Western Ukrainians.
Morality and spirituality of the peoples of the Caucasus not even close can be compared with the lack of spirituality of Russians.
In the Caucasus there are very high morals, especially in the Muslim Caucasus.
If Russia had canceled the abortion, would fight against the human injustice in different forms , would develope democratic institutions for the benefit of citizens, then maybe your arguments would have been weighty.
Perhaps the Soviet secular legacy left positive moments in Muslim Russia, but why necessarily to assume that if not for Russia there would be ISIS there? Caucasian Dagestan and Chechnya for example are not far from a democratic and attractive for investors - Georgia.
Caucasians generally are compared with the French, and there is a high culture/morals there.
Some people hundreds of years fought for their independence and I think that the people themselves should decide their fate not the Kremlin’s father.
If the small nations of Russia are the appendage of Russia, with Ukraine it’s different.
Ukraine is not Russia, here from grandfather to grandson people dreamed of independence.

You still keyboard fighting, that is lame dude, go to Donbas, go charge against “evil Russians” see how that turns out, Napoleon and Hitler failed, maybe you will be successful. lol

The Ukrainian army does not need much time to take Donetsk, but the army will not do it because (1) there live a peaceful people (2) we are not yet ready to fight with the Russian army invasion.
