I don’t know…so sad. I suspect Trayvon was much the same, a young man without a purpose in life, ill equipped to support himself with gainful employment, to be a father to his children, to be a productive member of society. Although the media often showed a picture of Trayvon as a sweet young kid, recent photos showed a very tough looking young man with a really bad attitude.
I have spent a lot of time in Florida and it’s very segregated. People grow up in areas where everyone is on government assistance, no fathers in the home, few have jobs, high drop out rates, high rates of teen pregnancy. Janteal appears not to have received a good education or much guidance in life. I suspect she’s on a fast road to nowhere. Not trying to derail the thread here, the many commentators including former prosecutors, judges and law enforcement have all responded to questions regarding her credibility with “This IS what we deal with in these kind of cases…” She is not an outlier in the community of the ethnic ghettoes. However apparently the jury does not include any black women and the thought is that the jury might find her so bizarre that her testimony will be discounted substantially.
