You’re not getting it because doing so would be tantamount to admitting an obvious fault in your views. So I’m sympathetic, really.

But ovulation tests are only useful when you have the reasonable assumption that the next one will occur 28-30 days later.

It is this assumption that naturally breaks down as she ages.

I would also like to easy forget about something. Like a machine. I hear an information, it came to brain, recognised the message and now I should forget. But no, instead this gets stuck in my head.
Thats why Im reading this thread even though Im not an adult and should definitely think about any matter mentioned in this thread.

“We should all acquit ourselves in a way that we believe is consistent with the teachings that we follow, if we follow certain teachings from a religious perspective,” Christie said. “Me for instance, I’m a Catholic, but I’ve used birth control, and not just the rhythm method, okay. So, you know, my church has a teaching against birth control. Does that make me an awful Catholic because I believed and practiced that function during part of my life? I don’t think so.”

I don’t blame Christie or any other Catholic. I’ve used pills, but I don’t consider myself a devout Catholic, though I’m not lapsed, either. Just quite imperfect. I do not believe in abortion, though.

I won’t judge her, but I wouldn’t let her delude herself. She would need to go to confession and stop using HBC immediately.

You and @Capta(name removed by moderator)rudeman missed the boat there.

The issue isn’t regret. That just another strawman you’re trying to jump to.

The issue is “I have all I can hold” or “My quiver is full”.
It’s all in how you look at it—God’s way or our way.
Boy, if I had a nickel for every time I was told that, I’d have a lot of nickels and no two would perfectly match.

If you’re full on kids, abstain or use NFP. Simple as that, no condom needed.

After you have them, sure, you want them. Ask the kids if they’d rather grown up in a smaller family where mom and dad didn’t have to work themselves to the bone and life could be enjoyed a bit more.

Using your reasoning, we shouldn’t even go to the doctor when we’re sick. Just sigh and say, “it’s God’s will and way, not mine.”

Abstinence denies a fundamental biological drive, which makes it a non-real solution.
NFP as a method of contraception breaks down as the female participant ages.

Based on how willing you are to accept NFP in older age, I’m guessing you’re male?

For me, it’s “Offer it up!” If I had a nickel for every time I was told that, I could make this whole forum rich or end world poverty. But I don’t have even one nickel, and I can’t see that “offering it up” has ever done me, or anyone else, any good.

My gender does not matter. I’m currently denying a biological drive by not masturbating. It’s possible and a very real solution.

Great! The kids came in third! Bet most kids would absolutely love that!

Sure. The Philippines is absolutely crammed with families that followed a similar route.

It didn’t work out so well for many of them.

Barring heroic exceptions - No. It isn’t. Not perpetually.

Even Paul said it was better to marry than “burn”.

And that “burning” he was referring to wasn’t the desire to have kids.

But good luck to ya, fella. I mean that.

We believe in the God of the impossible. There’s no “heroism” involved except letting God give you strength, and that’s what you’re supposed to do.
