Outrage over sexual freedom movements

Something people forget is where to direct their anger. Don’t get angry at the ones who suffer from contraception or fornication. Direct your anger towards those who advocate those as avenues to happiness.

I feel sadness over the people that got deceived and the lives of the babies that were thrown away. SO yeah, it’s hard to study that period of history when your ideas of freedom and liberation are tied in with the beliefs/values of the church. I’ve rejected the mores of the sexual revolution. I wish the boomers never had the sexual revolution because it left the millennials (me) with so much baggage.

I am pretty much a historian by trade. I work at museum that focuses on the 17th-18th century. I’ve been a research intern, sailor, special events volunteer, ticket saleswoman, and group educator (sometimes all in the same week). I was doing some research into some old estate inventories because a group of interns (myself included) had been tasked with researching different types of livestock. I ran into a lot of estate inventories where you’d see people (slaves) listed right next to livestock and dinner forks. I cried because life was treated so cheaply. I cry for the same reason when I see women being objectified and unborn children being slaughtered. Sexual sin is the exact same thing as slavery.

Agreed. It puts me steps away from giving my TV a roundhouse kick.

But he didn’t say ALL women, he said MANY women were transformed into unpaid whores…I’m a baby boomer I wasn’t insulted by the term, it rang true to me. Many women have been and continue to be objectified by the so called progress of women’s liberation.

Your kind, so I’ll answer you…When I was reading the posts my mother was right beside me. when I was reading lost sheep’s post and his term for women, I saw the hurt on my mom’s face and that hurt me. do i think he was wrong, yes… I’m so sorry I got pulled into this. Thank you for asking, God bless you.🦋🦋

And what’s sad is that instead of realizing that “liberation” was a mistake, society continues to get more extreme. More sex, more abortion, more contraception.

If I hurt anyone’s feelings I’m sorry.🦋🦋 i.e. My mother happen to see lost sheep’s wording for she was looking over my shoulder. I wish you could have seen the hurt
I apologize too @anna.

The original comment you responded to WAS inappropriate, but I think it was due to the posters language barrier.

It’s pretty much the same with all contraceptive ads for me. They all make me furious.

End times? What else can be attacked? Can something be more deadly than people thinking they are above God? I guess in previous centuries it was very rare because the technology was bad but now its extreme. Its so disgusting, that perversion in social life. And they are trying to corrupt kids by so called safe sex or sexual classes where they teach about contraception and all things but rather they persuade kids to think that way, not just giving normal informations. Nudity everywhere, especially porn is so disgusting. You can almost throw up because of this all disgust.

I have personal experience with many perversions (except fornication, thanks be to God for protecting my chastity there!). It’s so scary to know that my sons and daughters may fall victim to those same sins of masturbation and pornography. It almost makes me want to abstain from marriage and sexual relations. Granted, I’m only 17 and things can change or I can find a woman who’s equipped to prevent it, but still. It’s all around us.

What exactly do mean by power? Do you mean that they use their God given sense to go to college or business school, nursing school etc and then go out into the work force. How is that going against God? What purpose Did God have for us? We have children, we raise them and still work. Is that against God/ My husband died almost 2 years ago…I work and am a mother to my 2 daughters…We live in a different world. but we still can manage… My children will always come first in my life…as did my husband, so 'unless you walk in someone elses shoes…you cannot judge…
Anna, you seem to be missing the point of this topic. None of what you’ve said is the result of sexual liberation or birth control, which are the specific cultural developments we’re talking about… Feminism is not tied into contraceptives or sexual license…
I’d beg to differ.

The “liberation” of the woman from the nursery/kitchen/living room is intimately tied to birth control.

So you’re saying that women should be relegated to the role of housewife? Fascinating. Why?

I honestly don’t know. The roots go so deep… Maybe Americans start by overturning Roe v. Wade. No abortion, no Plan B, no backup plan when your sexually “free” life goes down the toilet with the consequence of sexual relations.

Wow. You really missed it there.

I’m saying “Oh yes it is”.

Well if we want to rid this world of contraception, whatever is linked must go too. Sorry I misinterpreted you, I drew an imaginary line.

Authentic feminism is not. I agree that modern feminism has aligned itself with those evils, but in really those things are as anti-feminine as they come. They take the most feminine aspect of a woman, her ability to conceive life, and say that it is something that needs rejecting. Modern feminism is a rejection of the feminine.

Women don’t need birth control to get an education or have a career. For some reason, people can’t wrap their heads around the fact that they don’t need to have sex.

Sex is one of the fundamental human drives.

Any solution to any problem that requires perpetual abstinence is, biologically, an absolute non-starter.
