A revered Syrian monk and hermit, Father Franҫois Mourad, has been killed during an assault of the Franciscan monastery in a predominantly Christian village in the north near the Turkish border, Vatican Radio reported.

It’s believed that Maroud was shot dead when tried to defend several religious sisters from the rebels when the monastery that gave them shelter was attacked and pillaged on June 23.

This is where good Christianity really fails you. The enemies of our GOD, through us and our mortal trappings count on a certain passivity.

I think it would be better if our enemies feared us more than THE LORD. I don’t believe it is counter to Catholicism to have people fear you, just the ways in which you justify their fear.

I will pray for his Soul, but am compelled to believe that GOD has already rushed out to greet him and has welcomed another of his good servants home.

Catholic Priest Beheaded in Syria by Al-Qaeda-Linked Rebels as Men and Children Take Pictures and Cheer

Syrian Catholic priest Francois Murad killed last weekend by jihadi fighters was beheaded, according to a report by Catholic Online which is linking to video purportedly showing the brutal murder.

As TheBlaze reported last week, Murad, 49, was setting up a monastery in Gassanieh, northern Syria. Last Sunday, on the Christian leader’s Sabbath, extremist militants trying to topple President Bashar Assad breached the monastery and grabbed Murad.

While earlier reports suggested Murad may have been shot to death, Catholic Online reported Saturday: “The Vatican is confirming the death by beheading of Franciscan Father, Francois Murad, who was martyred by Syrian jihadists on June 23.”

May God have mercy on the souls of those that murdered him.

And while I am at it, how can any religion or faith teach people that you can rejoice in the killing of any one. Even if it was a murderer or abject criminal we still should show proper respect because taking a human life is something that should only be contemplated when there no other ways to fulfill justice.
But rejoicing on the act is really demeaning the value of the human life.
Now excuse I need to go out to throw up, disgusting. 😦

i think so,and if this is the case,should he be arrested like all the nazies who went through Europe doing the ethnic cleansing and be brought to justice?

or is it ok this is a one off thing.take a look around what has been happening in Kosovo,Bosnia,Yugoslavia ect…

No doubt about it…this precious Priest went STRAIGHT UP TO GLORY. That’s what happens to those who are martyred for the faith. With their blood they pay the price for the faith. The Church teaches us this fact. Fr. Murad is now in heaven.

The only “religion” that I can think of that promotes the rejoicing of killing anyone whether they be “infidels” or not is the religion of SATAN. These beheadings are all SATANIC.

Father Murad was murdered along with another individual, as yet unnamed, as a crowd of onlookers comprised of of men and boys cheered and took photographs with smartphones. The actual beheadings were not performed swiftly with a sword as one from the West imagines. The executioner used what appeared to be an ordinary kitchen knife, according to The Blaze.

There is a video at Catholic Online. The “religion of peace” continues to add to its current reputation. I will pray for the souls of these three martyr’s.
 
I no longer consider this country America, and so if this government is providing aid to those who behead priests, then it is time to defeat that country that calls itself America.

The powers that be in America are currently thumbing their noses at God and mocking Him to his face. All Four Sins that Cry to Heaven for Vengeance have been fully activated in America by the powers that be. And now America is intentionally funding and arming al-Qaeda and other sworn enemies of America in the Middle East in a demonic attempt to kill, torture and dispel the Catholics that have lived in the Middle East for centuries, particularly in Syria where they have been protected by Assad.

God will not be mocked and His vengeance will come. When it does come, American Catholics are going to have to decide if they are American or Catholic first.

If this country had simply stayed out of it, Assad would have crushed the Jihadists a long time ago.
