=jean8;5350930]luke,
Judging other christians is not to be done.
Mt.7:1-5 reads "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2. For the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the same measure you use , it will be measured to you…
3. Why do you look for the speak of sawdust in your brothers eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4. How can you say to your brother, "Let me take the speak out of your eye, when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5. “You hypocrite,
first take the plank out of your own eye, then you will see clearly to remove the speack form your brothes eye.”
There are other passages that warn us all about judging. We should pray for others , with love.
***That is a lovely thought, but are we really not to judge?God bless,
jean
Is not judging and making judgements part of the human condition? A regular occurence?
Did not God give to humanity a mind, an intellect, a freewill and a sould, precisely so that we can judge?
The question should be how are we to judge; not should we judge?***
***Mt. 7: 13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits.* Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every sound tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit. 18 A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will know them by their fruits.
21"Not every one who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
Love and prayers,**
