Catholics need to pretend there is or people not unlike yourself won’t have leg to stand on.
You do not believe there is a social cost to the natural family unit? The costs are medical, mental and social.

I’d argue than that gay people are just a natural byproduct otherwise they would have been literally bred out of existence years ago.
There is no gay gene. SSA is showing to be the result of early childhood trauma and instead of helping sort this out therapists are putting people on the road to lifelong problems.

Personally I don’t have an axe to grind with any gay person and would wish him no evil under any circumstances. But i do wish that in some spirit of reciprocity he tolerates my Catholic beliefs. Most gay people I have met are Ok with that.

Edit – not a paper, but peer reviewed studies.

There is no “I love coke over Pepsi” gene but genetics has a roll in taste. There is not a single gene as much a collection of bodily factors that contribute to enjoying something.
In this case dudes like dudes.

from the above I posted

Now, change the analogy slightly. This time you see and apprehend the beauty of the flowers, and you experience pleasure from that apprehension. However, you have been taught by your parents, school teachers, and society in general that experiencing pleasure when apprehending these particular beautiful flowers is an indication that you should eat the flowers. In other words, you are taught that the cause of the pleasure you receive from seeing and apprehending beautiful flowers is because you are naturally inclined to unite with them physically . Even further, the flower is an opium flower which causes a “bodily transmutation” (in Thomistic language) or biochemical reaction (in modern language) that is similar to the bodily experience that has been described as human orgasm. (The opium poppy is a plant, not a tree. This is hypothetical, so for the sake of the example just pretend that opium grows on trees.) In describing the effect that opiates can have on the body, James G. Pfaus writes
Opiates… produce a rush of euphoria followed by a prolonged period of relaxation, a state that has been referred to as a “pharmacogenic orgasm.”… A “natural” version of this state is induced by an orgasm. (Pfaus 2009, 1517)
You eat the flower and experience the orgasm-like pleasure. Since your society defines sexual union as “receiving orgasm-like pleasure as a result of physical contact with any object,” you believe that you are sexually uniting with the flower. In Thomistic language, you might say that you feel that the orgasm-like pleasure is indicative of your nature being perfected by a sexual union with the opium flower. You have also been taught by your parents and society that the orgasm-like response you receive from eating the opiate flower indicates that you are inclined or oriented to a sexual “union” with that whole tree . Because you are “naturally inclined” to the orgasm-like pleasure associated with your uniting physically with the flower (a part of the tree), you feel you have a right to sexually unite with the whole tree.

While I respect (slightly) your use of intellectual sources the problem with that is you are simply regurgitating someone else’s work instead of making a point on your own.
Citing research statistics is at lest more useful if not more lazy.

Talk to me, I don’t want too talk to Dr whatever.
I can quote people at you too. All that proves is I can Google. Doesn’t mean I understand the quote, what prompted it to be said or (and this is the key) the context it was said.
You see those shows where witty people fire off back and forth, great for tv, poor for public discourse.

youth who are feeling out of place because of their own attractions. Showing that it is normal to feel that way is a good thing. There’s a reason the suicide rate for LGBTQ+ youth is so high.
Because youth are confused to begin with. Their brains have not competely formed yet. What sinister evil person would encourage sex-change for a child. But these evil people do exactly that and THIS is one of the main reasons for the suicide crisis.

The above is full of references. I can tell you did not even look into it.
I read it. It’s a persuasion research paper. I’m trying to filp through the “studies”, but some (most) aren’t even peer reviewed studies and even link to google and the Catechism.

Yeah. Don’t bother me with facts. They are so confusing. And they don’t even fit my paradigm. Who needs reality when I am so comfortable in my phantasy.
there was a hilarious experiment done by NASA to a group of video game players in order to spot the orbital tells of planets around distant Stars. while the gamers were tasked to point out the dimming of the star showing a planet passing between us and the star in question to denote orbit, the computer algorithm didn’t take into consideration certain pulses of light.
these pulses of light were picked up by the players who are able to indicate stellar objects that the computer algorithm couldn’t see even though it was marking them incorrect.

So the statistical data needed to be corrected because the algorithm was flawed.

You can quote statistics but we still have to analyze where that statistic comes from how it was gathered and more importantly why how it’s applied to the current situation.

TLDR; you can’t just quote a statistic and call it a day.

^^^This. It’s called “Peer Reviewed” for a reason.

So…?

Context is important. But if it does not fit your narrative I can see why you bolted.
And this is exactly why I don’t want you replying to me; you’d rather try to get the last word in set up some kind of gotcha moment instead of actually intellectually discussing the point. your points and suggestions are and more importantly your research is gross misrepresentation of the facts.

Incase I wasn’t clear the first time Do Not Talk To Me.

If you don’t understand the importance for studies not to be peer reviewed then IDK…?
You should check into the peer review process and the issues with it. There have been many articles about its failings.

Nevertheless, you could produce a peer reviewed paper showing how homosexual sex can fulfill the design and purpose of the reproductive organs.
