What a lucky guy you were! My heartless mother forced me to go to school after breakfast.When I was a kid, I left home after breakfast and played ball, cowboys and Indians, rode a bike, etc till dinner (lunch up here in the north) then went back and played till supper with no adult supervision and never got into trouble.
PBS made up the story that Blacks liberated Dachau.Why stop with radio and TV? Let’s have government run newspapers and magazines too. Remember the old “Soviet Life” magazine? Slicker than the U.S. “Life” magazine. And no ads!
We have government run pre-school to 12th grade education. Lots of government run colleges. Government housing and government medical care. So why not government newspapers too?
It is in the “public” interest. And we do live in a “democracy” (not a republic I guess anymore). So let’s get some government periodicals delivered to our homes today!
Good one! But I was refering to summer. I should have made that clear. It wasn’t much of a job to get me to school, my dad worked at a sawmill and I had no desire to do that kind of work in South Georgia so I realized early on that I needed an education.What a lucky guy you were!
