Heresy? That has not been determined by the Church. Mostly because it fails to meet any of the tests or measures.

As to determining rather some one is in hell or going to hell is treading dangerous waters.
Believing that any other marital arrangement other than one woman and one man is equal to said marriage is heterodoxy. The Church is clear on this.

Canon 1055.1 The marriage covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of their whole life, and which of its own very nature is ordered to the well-being of the spouses and to the procreation and upbringing of children, has, between the baptised, been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.

Canon 1057.2 Matrimonial consent is an act of will by which a man and a woman by an irrevocable covenant mutually give and accept one another for the purpose of establishing a marriage.

Canon 1059 The marriage of catholics, even if only one party is baptised, is governed not only by divine law but also by canon law, without prejudice to the competence of the civil authority in respect of the merely civil effects of the marriage.

Canon 1061.1 A valid marriage between baptised persons is said to be merely ratified, if it is not consummated; ratified and consummated, if the spouses have in a human manner engaged together in a conjugal act in itself apt for the generation of offspring. To this act marriage is by its nature ordered and by it the spouses become one flesh.

If your profile picture is true, you will understand that the proof you offer is based upon a false premise.

If you believe that the Catholic Church is based on a false premise, why do you list your religion as Catholic?

No we cannot support civil unions. Marriages can be non sacramental and still be valid and good.
I could not understand what you said. Civil union is not marriage. Civil union gives them benefits such as insurance coverage. It is not marriage. We definitely cannot allow gay cohabitation be called “marriage”. As long as they get the coverage benefits they are yelling for, why do they need the name of “marriage”? It is simply not a “marriage”, even you call it “marriage”, it is still not. Marriage is between a man and a woman, call gay relationship “marriage” is simply a lie, a self-cheating. God defined marriage, man cannot redefine it.

To Julia Mae’s point.
If you read Julia’s point is was that the government should not be deciding morality.
Morality" is the business of individuals and churches, philosophies and art. It is not the business of government.
If that was true the government should have no business deciding anything at all about rape, murder or slavery.

Those are all moral issues, therefore, to Julia, the government should take no position on them.

In her statement, she didn’t make any claim that the morality restriction only applied to consentual moral issues

Then what do you counter offer to protect their civil rights?

How shall you oppose marriage equality? And to what levels are you prepared to carry out your opposition?

If Ms. Pelosi really thinks the Catholic Faith compels her to support gay marriage, maybe she needs to spend some more time on the USCCB website.

Is she stupid or just plain dumb? The Catholic Church is against “gay marriage” and she should know that. I think she does know it but she just wants to act like she’s ignorant or something.

Their civil rights already ARE protected.

Marital law is civil contract law. A person ( gay or straight) who is currently bound by a marital contract may enter into a binding marital contract with one, unmarried, consenting, non consangenous human person of appropriate age and of the opposite sex.

Those are the same conditions that apply to everyone, gay or straight.

Marriage equality therefore already exists.

Heterosexuals have no more civil rights than a homosexual person in this matter. All are already equal before the law.

My faith says I should do whatever I please.

The Catholic Faith says that I should know, love & serve God.

I would be interested in seeing your arguments expanded. There would appear to be some errors in the above.

I don’t understand. The second statement is the Catholic Faith (yes, I recall it from the Baltimore Catechism), and the first statement is your personal faith?
But if you are a Catholic, how do you reconcile the two?

For instance; what process led to the selection of your profile picture? (Rhetorical) The cross, in type and color, of the picture has a distinct meaning in both history and connection to the modern Catholic church.
