I really think you are projecting neglect into this situation where none exists. At no point does the OP say she doesn’t want to spend time with her grandson. She said she doesn’t want to play cars all blessed day and has legitimate other things to get done. Part of caring for a child includes keeping a clean home, preparing meals, doing laundry, etc. I didn’t see anything in her posts that she’s trying to unload her grandson emotionally. She just wants him to be able to play independently so she can do other things.
