I’m going to Sloan tomorrow and for some reason I have become very scared … he’s not going to tell me anything I don’t already know … don’t know what this fear is all about.

Fear of the unknown.

Out Father,
Who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Prayers offered for you, Katherine.

Just remember that sometimes, our fears work us up into a state that is not real. We can fear the unknown, or we can put our faith in God’s will for us and leave it in his hands. Do not carry your fear, hand it off to God.
And then, take a deep breath and do something else. Worrying will not bring your answers any quicker.

You have lots of people here that care about you Katherine. Take comfort in knowing that at any hour, there might be someone saying a prayer for you!

Hail Mary
Full of Grace
the Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb
JESUS
Holy Mary
Mother of God
pray for us sinners
now
and at the hour of our death
amen

Thank you for those calming words and prayers … much appreciated my friend.

Also thank you to everyone that is praying for me … God Bless you all.

Katherine

Thank you so much … I will indeed let you all know how it goes … I’m hoping I like this surgeon … the last surgeon I dealt with was not to my liking and actually lied to me about results … he said that the cancer had not spread, and my general doctor said that could not be told from that test result, because the test was taken without contrast. It was upsetting to say the least.

Probably no better but he may not so much as lied as not understood the implications of the test being done without contrast.

Your interactions with Sloan so far, and their reputation seem to indicate that they are a good team.

He is a kidney surgeon … he certainly should have known that a test without contrast was not 100% for sure … especially because the test result did not even show the kidney tumor that was found on ultrasound.

Dear Katherine: You are a person of faith; you pray for others and many pray for you. Your appointment is with the leading cancer research center. More importantly, Christ Jesus is on your side and by your side. I pray that God continues to uplift you and encourage you, and that He guides the medical professionals…

Praying for you each day 🙏🙏🙏

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake,
or watch, or weep tonight, and give Your angels and saints charge over those who sleep. Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ. Rest Your weary ones. Bless Your dying ones. Soothe Your suffering ones. Pity Your afflicted ones. Shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your loves sake.
Amen.
🙏

God of love, may she come quickly to thee, when she is in need of protection and sympathy. Guard her against sorrow that is drawn from the imagination. May she not allow grief to drag her into misery, but with strength and courage may she find happiness in thy daily will.
Amen.
🙏

May we be assisted, we beseech Thee, O Lord, by the worshipful intercession of Thy glorious Mother,
the ever-Virgin Mary; that we, who have been enriched by her perpetual blessings, may be delivered from all dangers, and through her kindness
made to be of one heart and mind: Who livest and reignest world without end.

Amen.
🙏🙏🙏

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Katherine438). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Katherine438’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

UPDATE … SLOAN KETTERING

Met with the surgeon today … told me that the tumor is small … that I have to have an open surgery where they cut you open 6 inches … takes a long time to recover … months … so he said we can wait to do the surgery in January, when my husband is retired and home with me … says that the cancer grows very slowly in the kidney and it is safe to wait until January. He does not believe it has spread, but I will be going through tests to make sure … I have to go back on November 2nd to get an MRI with contrast … he said the MRI with contrast is a safe test for the kidneys.

I liked this surgeon a lot … he is very serious and gives you a sense that he is sure of himself.

That sounds like a good prognosis. I’ll continue to pray for you.

Thank you for updating us. Looks like you have better clarity on the path forward. I pray again for your healing and that you feel encouragement/strength from our Heavenly Father…
