O Jesus, Good Shepherd,
You heal the sick and needy.
I give you all those parts of my body
which have suffered from illness.
You know what it is like to endure pain.

Look kindly on me today and heal me.
Restore me to strength of soul and body.

Give Your gift of wisdom to my physician that he may be guided by the Holy Spirit in all he does. Bless my nurses so that their hands will become Your hands as they touch me. Bless, too, my medication.
O Jesus, grant us all Your healing grace of love and peace.

Praying for you~

Lord, we lift Katherine up in prayer today.

Lord, our God, You sent Your Son into the world to bear our infirmities and to endure our sufferings. For Your servants who are sick, we ask that Your blessing will give them strength
to overcome their weakness through the power of patience and the comfort of hope and that with Your aid they will soon be restored to health.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

I had a bad night last night … you see I am still recovering from the parathyroid surgery … not so much the surgery itself but the complications it caused with my lupus … lupus reacts very badly when you do such things as have surgery … and mine went a little bit crazy … so I’ve been suffering in pain for weeks now with the lupus … and last night I started worrying just how bad my lupus could get after the kidney surgery … you see I had a friend who had surgery and her lupus killed her after the surgery … so I have reason for concern. I’m happy that the surgery is not until January, so it will give me time to get over this latest lupus flare up. As the saying goes, things do happen for a reason … and I believe our Lord is pulling the strings.

Again, thank you for your continuous prayers … they mean so much to me.

Dear Lord,
I need you now because I am full of stress and anxiety.
Reading your Word brings comfort, as I ask you to come and take my heavy burdens. I take each burden, one by one, and lay them at your feet. Please carry them for me so that I don’t have to. Replace them with your humble and gentle yoke so that I will find rest for my soul today. I receive your gift of peace of mind and heart. Thank you that I can lie down tonight in peace and sleep. I know that you, Lord, will keep me safe. I am not afraid because you are always with me. Please keep me daily, Lord, in your perfect peace.
