Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

John is having one of his episodes and I know that it’s the illness that is controlling him right now, but it still is hard for me because I don’t know what to do except be there for him, it has put me in tears. I have been with John long enough to hear the change just in his voice and the things he says. I will be seeing him tomorrow and I hope that being there in person will help him from going deeper into swing. I know that there is no cure for bipolar and I continue to pray that God will continue to give me the strength to not give up on John. I know that he loves me. I will continue to educate myself on this illness which affects John and the people around him. Please continue to pray for him, he is a good man.

Cassie, I have been following your situation, and have kept you and John in my prayers. I know that God certainly hears YOUR prayer. His Will be done. Joseph.

I was so glad to hear of John’s steps back to the Church - the news really made me smile! I hope he’ll find as much solace through Christ as you have. :hug1: Your intentions are all included in my nightly prayers and I remembered you and John close to the Consecration at Mass again this morning. Seeing your recent posts, I’ll pray particularly for your mother and for John at this time, as well as for the repose of your father’s good soul.

Take care of yourself. :hug1:

Your sister in Christ,
Siobhán.

Thank you my friends for your continued prayers!

John and I had a good weekend. We went out for supper, breakfast and supper. Working nights is getting to him, but I try to call him every night before I go to sleep and he calls me every morning before I go to work and before he goes to bed. I take each day one step at a time and tell him every day that I love him. I do not know where this path will lead me, but I have trust in the Lord. There is a quote that says that if He leads you to it, He will lead you through it. I have held on to this quote especially when my faith is faltering. I know that He is watching over John, the boys and me. Forgiveness is hard to give, but when you do it’s like a weight lifted off your shoulders, I know. Please continue to pray for John, there are many people who have given up on him, I am determined not to be one of them. May God Bless you and all that you love!

Remembered you, John and your family (as well as your mom) at Mass this morning! :hug1:

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Thank you all for your continued prayers!

John had an anxiety attack this past weekend. I had a company employee weekend at a resort not far from where is working so I was able to be with him most of the weekend. It is so hard to watch someone that you love suffer and not be able to do anything but be there for him. He told me that he really appreciated me being there and that he loves me very much. He told me that I am a different person than I use to be, more full of life and hope. I told him that he can be that way too, and that he is taking the right steps. He has another appointment for his bipolar disorder the beginning of March and as soon as he is done with the current job he is on, he is going to see a therapist. He tried to explain to me what goes through his head when he has one of his swings. He constantly fights it and it wears him down. I continue to pray that God will guide him through this illness and that John won’t let go and give up.

I am also asking that you keep one of my son’s friends in your prayers. My son took his friend down to the VA hospital and checked him into rehab. His friend did three tours, one in Bosnia and two in Iraq. He has never talked about it and it worries my son. He thinks he may be suffering post tramic stress disorder. He is also suffering from alcohol abuse. I pray that the Lord be with him during this time.

May the Lord bless each and every one of you!
Cassie

I know that I have asked all of you to continue to keep John in your prayers and I thank you. It is hard for me sometimes to ask for help for myself, but today I am asking if you would keep me in your prayers. I am in a very depressed mood right now. The weather is not helping, it’s gray and cloudy. I think that eveything that has happened in the past two years is bubbling up to the surface, with everything that is going on with John and I and my dad passing away. I am going to see a therapist soon and have and will spend some more time in prayer. In a few days it will be one year since the divorce has been final. I know that John loves me, but he continues to have contact with the other woman, this hurts me very much. John doesn’t know that I know this, I found out by accident. They may only be long distance friends. I have continued to read up on bipolar disorder and it’s very complex. There are times when I’m not sure if it’s really John talking or the illness. I’m not giving up and I am not mad at God, there is a purpose to all of this and He has gotten me this far. I am unsure right now about my future, if any, with John, I do love him very much. Thank you for your prayers, you continue to be in mine.

You and John are in my prayers and I will be thinking of you both before the Consecration at the Mass tomorrow. Prayers also for your son’s friend.

I often find myself feeling bouncy on fine days and not so much when it’s overcast. I just need to remember that the sun’s always there on rainy days and even during thunderstorms. It’s just hidden. (I guess our spiritual lives can be like that as well.)

You can always ask for prayers for yourself - even though I know you always put the needs of others in front of your own here, I keep you in my prayers as well as your intentions.

Sending you my best wishes from Ireland, for you, John, family, and your son’s friend too. :hug1:

I am praying for you and John. I hope the sun is shining for you and that you are feeling better.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins,
my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen. *

Praying for you, John and family and remembering your dad in my prayers for deceased relatives and loved ones. :gopray: :hug3:
God bless!

I hope you’re doing okay, Cass. I’m continuing to pray for you, John and family, as well as remembering your dad in my prayers for the faithful departed. Take care! :gopray: :hug3:

Praying for your intentions now. Lord if it be Your Will, please work in their hearts to bring each other closer and allow their marriage to be a trophy of your grace. Lord we know with You nothing is ever impossible no matter what the world supposes. Also bring them closer to You. In the name of Jesus our Good, Great and only Shepard, Amen.
