Thank you my friends for your continued prayers and words of encouragement!

Since I last posted John went through a couple of mood swings. I was able to be with him when he was going through a low period and he was grateful that I was there. He told me this past weekend when I went to see him ( he is about 1 1/2 hours away from home on the pipeline) that he was thankful that I was there for him. He told me that he has always loved me and that he loves me now more than he has in a long time. He also told me that he needs to see a therapist and that he needs to get his bipolar disorder under some kind of control and that he is not promising anything. I told him that I am not asking him to promise anything that he cannot do, but I will continue to be here for him. He continues to believe that God is with him, which thrills me, but doesn’t think that God will forgive him for what he has done. I told him that God forgives, John has to forgive himself, which to him is a hard thing to do. I continue to pray for John knowing that God has been at work even though at times it is hard. I also continue to keep all of you in my prayers. You do not know me, but you take time out of your day to offer prayers for me, John and our family, I am deeply grateful.

May God Bless You!
Cassie

Dear Cassie,
I have followed your situation all along, and I pray for both you and John. You are a bit of an inspiration as you have been very dedicated in your perseverance for so long. I will continue to pray for you both.

Since my first thread has been closed I decided to open a new one. Thank you all for being on this journey with me with your prayers and words of encouragement and hope.

Our niece is doing better and they have removed the tubes from her. Both John and I are very thankful for this.

For those of you who have followed my first thread, John and I continue to get along and he is thinking about getting work closer to home. I don’t know what that means for our relationship since we are divorced, but I am letting God handle it. My emotions continue on a roller coaster ride, but not so many lows anymore. When I have a bad day I spend extra time in prayer because it helps.

I will continue to pray for all intentions posted on here, may God bless you!
PETITION TO SAINT ANTHONY
Glorious St. Anthony,
my friend and special protector,
I come to you with full confidence in my present necessity.
In your overflowing generosity
you hear all those who turn to you.
Your influence before the throne of God is so effective
that the Lord readily grants great favours at your request.
Please listen to my humble petition
in spite of my unworthiness and sinfulness.
Consider only your great and constant love for Jesus and Mary,
and my desire for their glory and mercy.
I beg you to obtain for me, from God,
the grace I so greatly need…

(State your intention(s) here…) that Cassie and her husband meet some middle ground, and hopefully grow together in love for one another.

if it be His Will and for the good of my soul.
I place this earnest petition
in the care of the little mission children,
so that they may present it to you
along with their innocent prayers.
Bless me, powerful St. Anthony,
in the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

I will pray that St. Anthony will intercede for your every need.
God Bless

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

THE MEMORARE OF ST. BERNARD
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that any one who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help,
and sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.

Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother,
to thee I come,
before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful.

O Mother of the Word Incarnate!
despise not my petitions,
but, in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

(Indulgence, 300 days, each time. Plenary, once a month, on the usual conditions.)
PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT # 3
Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
enlighten our minds to perceive the mysteries
of the universe in relation to eternity.

Spirit of right judgment and courage,
guide us and make us firm in our baptismal decision
to follow Jesus’ way of love.

Spirit of knowledge and reverence,
help us to see the lasting value of justice
and mercy in our everyday dealings with one another.

May we respect life
as we work to solve problems of family and nation,
economy and ecology.

Spirit of God,
spark our faith,
hope and love into new action each day.

Fill our lives with wonder and awe
in your presence which penetrates all creation.

Amen.

Cassie,

I just read your whole thread and I too am going to pray for you, John and your whole family. I will go and pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament. We have perpetual adoration in our parish chapel. Your example of forgiveness, love and perseverance is very inspiring to me. Take care of yourself.

Thank you all for your continued prayers! Please know that all of you are in my daily prayers even when I don’t get a chance to post.

John went to his appointment for his back and they found that he has osteoarthritis in his lower back which is causing him much pain. They gave him some shots to help with the pain and he has another appointment in May. As for his bipolar he has an appointment to see our doctor to start on medication and to monitor it. I know all of this has been hard on him, but he has also gotten answers that he hasn’t gotten before and I thank God for that.

John and I continue to work on our relationship. It is hard at times because there are moments that I don’t trust him, which I have been told is normal, but I continue to pray and trust that God is leading me along this path that I am taking. Please continue to keep John in your prayers, they have helped him so much! Thank you and may God bless you!

Dear Cassie, I continue to pray for you and John, and to have the hope that you will both be healed soon.

Praying the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
