I am so praying that he attend the support group. I can write volumes on how helpful they were to me. They helped refocus my mind. Coming face to face with others suffering as you are brings reality and clarity to one’s life. You know I continue to pray for you and lift you up before every mass as my intention. Stay strong and lets pray that this group help shake John lose.

Lord please grant our prayers for Cassie’s husband and this marriage.

Thank you for your continued prayers!

I don’t think John went to the support group meeting he was telling me about, I prayed that he would. He is putting so much time and effort in his work that I am concerned for his well-being both physical and mental. I know that there is nothing I can do but let go and let God handle it. I still don’t know if he has signed the papers and I don’t want to ask because I am afraid he will say yes. He told me a couple of days ago that he still loves me and was wondering why I haven’t found someone else. He then asked if it was because I am still hoping that he will change his mind or that I just don’t want to. I told him right now that I don’t want to and besides we are still married and it would not be right. He continues to try and push me to go out with someone. I still believe in this marriage and I take my vows seriously. I have made mistakes in the past and have asked for forgiveness and mercy from God. I continue to believe that God is leading me to where He wants me to be. I pray that God be with John and John will turn his life over to Him. I have another session with the therapist tomorrow, and I hope it goes well. Valentine’s Day has been special for me in the past but it will be a hard one this year and I am praying for strength to get through it.

I am continuing to pray for all who are going through similar marriage problems and that God be with you during your difficult times, I know it can be rough. Peace to All! :grouphug:

Heavenly Fathery

Please bless Cassie & John and fill them with the light of your divine love. Grant them grace in abundace, true faith, great hope and steadfast love. Watch over them and protect them. Guide them each and every day in all the little things and the great ones. Jesus, hold them in your arms and unite them through your strength and love. Grant them your peace and your wisdom that in all things they may be so very near to you.

Amen

I am at a loss of words to express my sorrow with your latest news about John not going to group meeting. Let us pray that he goes to the next one. I can’t imagine how you are feeling about Valentines Day. If I may. I would like to give you a phrase that has gotten me through quite a bit. One example is my brother-in-laws funeral. When I saw his 33y/o body lying in the coffin, my heart screamed, “this is temporary!” For I believe I will see him again in heaven. Your situation occurring at Valentines day is temporary and you should treat it as such. I pray knowing that God will not let you be alone, for as you know and taught most of us here, He is with you, with us.

Hi Cassie,

You and John are in my prayers. Keep strong and God Bless…

Still praying for you, Cassie. I pray that God give you strength on Valentine’s Day. :hug1: :signofcross:

Cassie,
Prayers for you and John to unite as one…also that John attends those meetings…May you have a blessing this Valentine’s Day…Warmly, LynneMarie

Thank you all for your continued prayers!
I am continuing to work on myself and doing God’s will. John said that he doesn’t want to lose his best friend and I don’t either. He then told me that he may not sign the papers after all but wants to know what will change. I am not quite sure what he meant by it, but I do know that I have changed just by letting God guide me through this and for the first time I am not sure that I want to continue on this roller coaster with John, I pray that God will give me the answer. I am experiencing peace like I never have before. I do not cry as often and I have come to realize that I am not alone or unloved. I have never been a very social being so being at home by myself does not bother me as much as it would others. I still love John very much and care for him deeply and have faith that this marriage will heal. I pray that John wants this as much as I do, if he doesn’t then I will have to let him go. This is not what I want to do but I do not control him and I have given John up to God. I pray for all of those who are in similar situations as mine, may you find strength in the Lord.
Praise to you Lord, Jesus, Christ!!!

Cassie, I feel your strength! I too am in a similar situation and I praise you for letting go and allowing the good Lord guide you!!! You will pull through this with love and peace. I feel it!!

Do you notice…how John is second guessing his choice. That is our Lord. Working in him. Let him finish the job…you continue to search for your peace. I have to admit…that is what I have learned. No one is responsible for my happiness but myself.

Hugs and Kisses to you my friend. I love you, for loving the Lord and trusting him!

St Michael, please defend this marriage.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
