Hey everyone. Thank you for your prayers for Colton. He is still vomiting from time to time but not as much as before so the situation has improved but it needs to improve more. His next weight check isn’t until next week.

Hey everyone. I thought the situation was improving but I was wrong. He is now vomiting almost every day but usually it’s smaller amounts than before. We’re keeping his doctor informed on the situation. I’m worried he will end up being hospitalized because I am sure he will have lost more weight when we go to the next weight check on Wednesday.

Hey everyone. I have good news. Colton has gained back the weight he lost. He is now at 29 lbs and 4 oz. We just got back from his weight check.

Thanks everyone. We had a meeting with our CPS case worker today. She’s wanting us to get a second opinion in regard to Colton’s failure to thrive diagnosis and treatment. She is also wanting us to get him tested for food allergies because if he’s allergic to milk, that could be causing him to throw up.

Hey everyone. Thank you so much for your prayers for Colton. Colton has been doing well lately. He has not vomited at all since Friday unless he has vomited at school or at his daddy’s house and nobody told me. Usually I would be made aware of it if he did. I am hoping he’s going to get over the 30 lb mark by his next weight check which is next Friday. They will weigh him at his specialist’s office on Thursday as well but we typically go by his main doctor’s scales since all scales differ a little.

Hey everyone. Colton’s appointment with his developmental specialist went well today. He hasn’t gained any weight in one month because he lost weight and then gained it back over the course of the month.
His doctor reduced his tube feedings to 4 times a day. He does not get tube fed at lunch time now but he does get to eat. She thinks this will help him at school because he tends to eat so much at lunch at school that he then pukes when he gets the 7 oz of Pediasure. He gets too full. Now he won’t get too full because he won’t have the Pediasure on top of all that food.
We are also getting genetic tests done because David, his daddy, had the same problem when he was Colton’s age and David’s mom is also very small.
In addition, we had his iron checked again. It’s still very low despite the iron medicine. We now have to give it to him with juice. She thinks that will help him absorb it better.
We are also getting a referral to an allergist for food and environmental allergy testing. He will also see a pulmonologist to check for asthma and other respiratory problems because it runs in my family.
Lastly, we see an ear, nose, and throat doctor on November 13 for a consultation about getting his enlarged tonsils removed. His doctor thinks removing them will help his eating and his sleep apnea.
So anyway, thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for him and I promise to keep you updated on him as I am able.
