Please pray for my son to continue gaining weight

Hey everyone. Thank you for your prayers for Colton. His surgery went well. He had tubes put in his ears and he had his tonsils and adenoids removed. We got home earlier today. They weighed him at the hospital and he has gained 1 lb in 2 weeks which is great. Please continue to pray for Colton.

Hey everyone. Thank you for your prayers for Colton. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. He vomited after one of his tube feedings yesterday and he was also running a fever a couple of times yesterday but he seems to be doing better today. As long as he continues to do well today he is going to go back to school tomorrow.

Hey everyone. Colton is continuing to vomit every day now. It seems like this is another flareup of stomach issues. In the past he would sometimes go a month or so with no vomiting and then suddenly his stomach problems would flare up and he’d begin vomiting again. That seems to be what is happening now. He’s been vomiting once or twice every day since we got home from the hospital. I am sure he will likely lose weight now.

Please also pray for me. I am beginning to lose faith in God because it seems like no matter how hard I pray, God won’t answer my prayers and cure Colton of this problem with gaining weight. He gains weight and then his stomach issues flare up or he gets sick and then he loses what he gained which effectively means that he’s making no progress.

In addition to all of this, we’re dealing with CPS and they are threatening to take him away if he doesn’t gain weight. We have another meeting with them on Friday and there’s a good chance that they will put him into foster care at that time because of these issues with him gaining weight. There is also another issue going on that they are considering but I don’t want to talk about that.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. We took Colton to the emergency room on Tuesday evening because we were afraid he might be dehydrated with the frequent vomiting. He was vomiting about twice a day but yesterday it was only once thankfully. The hospital gave us some medicine for nausea which is helping with that. Colton has a weight check tomorrow (Friday) with his main doctor here in town. I’m going to see if she can prescribe some more Zofran as I am nearly out now and he is still vomiting every day.

Thank you for your prayers everyone. He hasn’t vomited yet so far today and I hope he doesn’t.

Anyway, please also pray for me. I’m having some pretty serious doubts about God. If He exists then why doesn’t He answer my prayers for Colton to gain weight? I’ve been praying for him to gain weight ever since he was born and so far we have not had any good breakthroughs. It’s really making me lose faith in God.

Thank you for your prayers everyone. I’m not sure if continued prayers are helping or not since I don’t even know if God is even there or not but feel free to continue praying if you would like to.

Anyway, Colton was taken away from me by CPS today. He is living with his dad now until I get him back at some point in the future. I have to go to court on Wednesday. The removal was not permanent and I will have a chance to get Colton back in the future.

I also want to mention that I will continue to update this thread with more information about Colton as it becomes available.

Anyway, I forgot to mention that Colton had a doctors appointment today. It was a weight check. At the hospital when he had surgery he weighed 30 lbs but he lost some due to puking. He was 28 lbs and 6 oz today. They checked him out and didn’t say anything about the fever. They did prescribe some Zofran for his nausea.

Aside from surgeries- I thought he had several weeks in the past 5 months when he gained ( mimimal, but gained) and other weeks intermittently when he didn’t lose weight and was steady. Maybe my memory isn’t great? Praying for all of you. 🙏🙏🙏
