So you went to Catholic schools.

Does this mean that you actually took Catechism classes? Or does it mean that you just did your ABCs in a room with a crucifix on the wall? Because it doesn’t seem as though you know very much about Catholicism.

(I attended a Marxist school, but I don’t know very much about Marxism because I didn’t take very many of the philosophy classes, and of the few I took, I don’t remember very much of the content - I was a lot more interested in Christianity, at the time.)

The fullness of faith does not have to content itself with ‘parts’. But those with only ‘part’ should be striving to find ‘the whole’–shouldn’t they?

I went to Mount Alvernia for grammer school. Catholic Memerial, for high school. Notre Dame for college. As far as the pope goes, lets look at the history of the popes. lets start with Pope John 8Th. There is no proof that St. John was referring to The Church when he wrote of The Whore of Babylon. Since Revelations is Apocalyptic literature(along the lines of Daniel), it is loaded with symbolism. Given the events that were occuring at that time, more than likely St. John was referring to Rome.

Yes, the current pope is like you and me, only he entered Seminary at age 12 (68 years ago), and has taught college and ran the office of the Doctrine of the Faith. There were many other Popes like this, as well as scoundrels. Again, you need to cite bad doctrine. 2000 years of good doctrine would show the Popes to be correct. If you think there is a contradiction, and some people see many, you have a responsibility to ask, even if you, in the end, need an infallible translator to understand…

The Church recognizes that we don’t know the specific date. Dec 25 is celebrated because that was the effective Solstice under the Julian calendar at the time the Feast of the Nativity was promulgated. It symbolizes Christ bringing Light to the World.

By the same token, the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist is celebrated on June 21, in rememberence of his statement " As He increases, so must I decrease"

No- didnt know that most of our rituals came from babylon-could you show me where I can find this? Also the Church does not assert that Jesus was born on December 25-that is merely he date it has been traditionally celebrated on.

In your book does actually beleiving what the Church teaches equate with “leaving the brain at the Chruch door”
