I think you’re misrepresenting here. We take in thousands and thousands of immigrants every year who come here legally and are either productive visitors or aspiring US citizens.
To correct you. We take on a million legal immigrants a year. This does not include visas for long-term tourism (under the department of state) or educated employees. (under the department of labor), those also number in the millions annually.

None of us want this.

US citizens who are getting killed by M13 members are relying on brute tactics to deal with the nearly million people who they cannot vet and figure out what to deal with (on top of the million people they already did vet)

It’s a drastic, emotional situation for ALL people.

It’s terrible for the children most of all, but there is inordinate suffering in boarder towns for everyone.
It is an organised media campaign of emotionalised blackmail.

They want families together, then they want kids released for school because they are suffering without it, then they want the mothers released because a child needs his mother, then they want the fathers released because it is discriminating to keep them confined and let the others out.

Then you have defacto open borders.

It is nothing less than an organised media campaign of deceitful emotional blackmail and it is sickening!

Were Popes Pius XII and JPII also wrong for “interfering”?

Pope Francis is wrong every time he comments on the expansion of pro-abortion legislation in the US and elsewhere?

I can’t stand him. When I was a GOP Precinct Committee Person, many people in my local GOP were RINO’s. Basically, I saw that the GOP stood for nothing.

Catholics don’t like listening to their Pope or Bishops when they say things against their political allegiance.
I’d love it if they did something!

Absolutely love it!

Want my money to start a shelter for families that won’t cause my neighbor who needs that money to starve? I’ll do my best to give.

I’ve helped out many legal immigrants. One saw her uncles literally crucified. There are a million of them each year. Our systems are overwhelmed.

The same is true on all sides, Left or Right.

Speak out on abortion, many Catholic Dems don’t care.
Speak out on immigration, many Catholic Republicans don’t care.

From my experience, it seems those on the Left are at least aware of their dissent, while many on the Right simply plug their ears and shout “that’s not REALLY doctrine!”

Pope Pius XII encyclical against the spread of communism during World War II

Pope JPII’s support of the solidarity movement in Poland, encyclical on the body (included condemnation of contraception and abortion).

Numerous statements by Pope Francis against pro-abortion laws. Most recently in Ireland. And his similar comments on Contraception and abortion under President Obama.

Honestly, you’ll be hard pressed to find a pope who has not commented on some anti-Catholic position taken by some country or another.

Sad to hear. Hopefully Trump has shaken them up a little. (or a lot).

So where are his harsh words for the countries that are letting their citizens face danger? Why no condemnation for Argentina and all the other middle America countries for their abysmal ways of life?

Funny, because that’s the SAME thing may of y’all were saying yesterday on the immigration thread regarding separation of families… and LOOK! Trump just backed out of that! Wow! See, it was never the only option.

The Left have been taken over by anti Christians. They know full well their dissent.

There is dissent on all sides, and true, orthodox Catholics on all sides.

I won’t play the “OTHER” game, for Christ did not approve of that. Who is “In” and who is “Out”.

You really should pay more attention to what Pope Francis actually says. If you did you’d know that he has repeatedly challenged conditions in central and South America and he has often do so while visiting there.

The Pope is a BISHOP. All priests, pastors, and bishops have a duty to guard the faith. Not just ONE man.

Does he do it like he did today?

No.
