I printed out two more copies of the 'Prayer for Missouri" and “Prayer for South Dakota” on the prayercampaign website of priestsforLife. I gave a copy to my sister in law to pray today. And I’ll keep praying all day - including 9 memorares. I’m trying to fast for the sucess of the election. Here in Nebraska, We have to have Jeff Fortenberty reelected here because the Dem opponet is very pro-abortion. In our state legislature, my district NEEDS to get Bob Swanson elected. He’s prolife, Catholic and a father of at least 5. His opponent is pro-embryonic stem cell research & is endorsed by PP. This is actually a new election for this district because the guy who once was the senator was booted because of term limits. So, please pray for the people of the 28th district in Lincoln Nebraska that we vote the prolife man in. If we want cloning banned & embryonic stem cell research banned, we need Bob Swanson. Also, I found out that our supposedly “prolife” Democrat senator was giving money to proabortion Democrats. So, pray that he’s defeated by the Republican challenger Pete Ricketts. I’m praying for Missouri AND South Dakota today. We need a victrory for Life in South Dakota and a resounding “NO” to cloning in Missouri.

I just voted and it is an offense to our democracy and country how misleading that ballot language was.

:mad:

Any kind-hearted, well-meaning individual who did not have an oppurtunity to learn anything about Amendment 2 would 100% definitely vote yes!

Yes, the ballot was completely misleading.

Shall the Missouri Constitution be amended to allow and set limitations on stem cell research, therapies, and cures which will:

  • ensure Missouri patients have access to any therapies and cures, and allow Missouri researchers to conduct any research, permitted under federal law;
  • ban human cloning or attempted cloning;
  • require expert medical and public oversight and annual reports on the nature and purpose of stem cell research;
  • impose criminal and civil penalties for any violations; and
  • prohibit state or local governments from preventing or discouraging lawful stem cell research, therapies and cures?

The proposed constitutional amendment would have an estimated annual fiscal impact on state and local governments of $0-$68,916.

You can (and should) abstain from voting on that issue if you don’t know enough about it.

Pray…

For those concerned, right now it’s tight and VERY early but we’re ahead 53.5% to 46.5%.

Thank you, to all of you throughout the country who have prayed for Missouri. Your prayers made it a tight race. Your prayers helped change the hearts of more than a half a million people who were going to vote yes but decide to vote no. **WE WILL REPEAL! **Our side will get it on the ballot again w/o deceptive ballot language and we will repeal.

As I said in the Election Results thread, “Begun the Clone War has” - Yoda, “Attack of the CLones”.

The Jedi are the prolifers, the clones the deceptive language (clones turned against the Jedi in EP3) and the separtists are the proaborts/ones deceived about ESCR

Pray for us all, is right. The NBC Today show reported this morning that Missouri had passed the bill enabling the killing and selling of human embryos. Also, South Dakota voted to continue the killing of unborn babies.

The selling and killing was already legal. Now Missourians foot the bill.

Narrowly passed I guess. Well, on to the courts to fight it out.
Amen! We can’t let this travesty stand! Lord have mercy on all of us, and on the souls of the millions of babies that will be slaughtered because of this holocaust…

Yes, the results are disappointing. Be that as it may,there are lessons a lot of people have learned. Today many understand why assisted reproductive technology is morally reprehensible and intrinsically evil. It wasn’t so evident 25 years ago. In retrospect, it is only too clear how scientists exploited infertility to create powerful tools to manipulate, experiment and destroy embryonic human children. In their arrogance, this privileged elite believe themselves creators of God’s greatest masterpiece.

They have forgotten who they are, where they come from and for Whom they were made. For all their education,wealth and intelligence they are the poorest among us for they have exchanged their inheritance for a glamorous lie, a seductive promise, a few cobs of corn they will compete with swine to survive on.

Let us pray, they will repent and return to their patient, merciful Father and apply their gifts for scientific research with respect for fundamental human rights in accordance with Natural Law.

:bowdown:

I feel like crying today.:crying: There is nothing good about this. We, Missourians, will pay through our eye teeth for this. And the poor will still be w/o basic health care.

I am going to go buy a mourning band and wear it till they repeal this horrid thing. I wish I had moved to missouri in time to vote in this election, but I didn’t 😦 Well, I guess I should fight till the thing is gone!!

Pray that this situation will be fixed- and pray for us all- that we stay true to the Faith even though things are going badly right now.

I just don’t have any hope left. Roe v Wade is still the law of the land and now this. Wasn’t God listening to all the prayers that have already been prayed. Catholic school children were even praying for the defeat of this monster. There isn’t even the hope for the Supreme Court now if the Dems are in control. We can kiss goodbye overturning R v W any time soon. All hope is gone.
