po18guy, praying for you and your family. I’d like to tell you a story about a Baptist friend of mine who was in the situation you are and hospitalized for treatment. She’s the holiest person I’ve ever known, and will never cease to inspire me. At one point she became comatose and wasn’t expected to come out of it. 9 days later she did, but was disoriented and not making sense for several days. (She thought she was at Disneyworld…) The night she came out of the coma, her husband left us alone so I could pray with her. As I was praying with this woman who had suffered so much and who was so thoroughly confused, she clearly said, “Thank you, Jesus, for letting me feel a little of what You suffered for me.” and then she became confused again. What a miracle and what a grace for me to have witnessed her intimate relationship with Jesus. I pray you have many of those intimate moments with Him and peace during this time of struggle.

Jim,
I am saying daily rosaries for your health, your peace, your strength, your healing and your family as you all deal daily with this.
You are family to us as well, here at CAF. We are also impacted greatly by your illness. You have given us here great gifts - and Heaven will reveal one day just how important you are to us.

I notice your posts in prayer requests for others. No mention of prayer needed for you in return, just a selfless prayer for those who are suffering and asking for help. Gosh, you are awesome.

What amazing grace and faith you have. I am humbled by you. Perhaps that is what God is also showing the rest of us - through you. That many of us here - especially me - need that dose of humility and an increase in piety that you have.

Many, and I mean many, prayers for you.

Continuing to pray for your recovery. You have been such an inspiration to me and to many at CAF. May God continue to be with you and your family.

First of all, may God bless you eternally for your love and generosity in prayer! This illness has a purpose, and, once it was made known to me, it is a blessing to live it out. In prayer, I dare not ask for healing, but only for strength. The Lord knows my needs, and has provided extremely generously, through my brothers and sisters at CAF, as well as through family and friends. But, to know the amount of time spent in prayer for me is the most humbling, and I am pleased that so many are speaking with the Lord (for any reason). I know that He has much more for me to do, and I pray that He sustain me until I can accomplish it.

I know that we are supposed to pray that we are spared the test of our faith. But, what if Christ had been spared his test? Since I know myself, at least partially, I cannot fathom how such a sinner can be an inspiration to anyone! It is a tiny hint of what Saint Paul experienced, it seems - and in his year, too!

Again, prayers to all of you, and may Christ’s peace always remain with you.

Jim

po18guy, you are a courageous, grace-filled person. I pray for your healing and that God will continue to pour His Holy Spirit into you and fill you with joy.

still praying
God bless you, wina! I am kind of in a holding pattern about now. On more session next week of the chemo that I am on. Then, Doctor conducts a PET scan for cancer activity and I go in-patient for the next two sessions, which are either more corrosive in nature, and/or the IV needs to be administered over a 24 hour period. I can’t say that I’m looking forward to it, but the faithful are sure praying! And, that’s exactly the point. The Lord does with me as He wills. The thought of so many in prayer is beautiful, as all of their conversations with God store up treasure in Heaven. Amen!

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
AMEN

Jim,

I think of you daily and you are always in my prayers. God bless you and your family.

Blessings,

God bless you and thank you, SweetHart, jesu 1983, Mom4truth, RachaelRene, grandma glor, Simon X and cassie 89! Your prayers lift my spirit and cause me to praise God! I am going for a blood test today and probably some hydration, which I have had to do before. With your prayers, this will be an easy day. Christ’s peace and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.

Jim

Praying for you fervently.
I will always remember your beautiful response to my prayer request, my first post at CAF. God bless you. :signofcross:
