I have prayed for all the requests on this post when I went to Rome last week. I saw the Pope in his general audience on Wed. and the Angelus Prayers and blessing on Sunday. I specifically prayed for all my CA friends and their needs.

I met with my daughter in Rome in one of her last ports before returning home. I was very relieved to see her and know that she will be home soon. Thank you all for your prayers. I am now in prayer of thanksgiving because my daughter has survived two deployments. In a few short weeks now she will be home.

Hey everybody! 🙂 If possible, I would like to ask some of you to pray for my friend. She is a cradle Catholic who recently began to be drawn away by evangelicals. That situation seems to be stabalized, but it is still one I worry about. The thing that is most problematic now is that she seems to not be paying enough attention to Christ. She is very busy and does not have much time, so she does not give much to Him. As a result, she has grown further and further from Him, and become very critical of others, she gets very angry when she is admonished, she often tries to escape from oppurtunities to hear things of Christ, and she is becoming more worldly. She is still much further along spiritually in that she does care a lot about God, but she seems to be forgetting that, and because of this she is not open to His graces. If you could pray for her, it would be very much appreciated. Also, if you threw me in there too that would be great, so that I am not a hypocrite or too judgemental, and that I may be humble with her. I didn’t want to do this, but it has gotten bad enough that I need this. Thanks a lot

Please pray for my brother who has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer and is awaiting further test to see how pervasive it is. He is my little brother, although a man, and I pray for peace in all that lies before him.

I also ask for prayers for my daughter who continues to struggle with depression and loneliness. I only pray that she gives herself completely to the will of the Father and finds joy in His love.

Please pray for Dakota, family member of my co worker, about 18 months old, who has rvs and has been in an induced coma for two days trying to regulate his breathing, blood gases, etc. Family was called late last night that his condition is worse, not expected to make it, but we all know that prayer works miracles. IF it be Gods will we pray that Dakota be healed. I ask prayers also for his family, especially Rick who is shouldering most of the burden of keeping everyone notified of what is happening.
I pray for all intentions posted here that God in His mercy and love hear and answer them.

Update: DBIL is on the mend! After more than a month of testing and testing done in two prominent hospitals here in MA…they’re still baffled…

The good news is that it is NOT CANCER!!! (That’s what they were looking for). He’s up…able to walk…his color is awesome… They will discuss the course of treatment for this “Mystery”…tomorrow.
His faith and his trust in whatever God wants has remained unshaken… Oh, and he has asked to please keep up your PRAYERS!😃 He wants me to tell you that he is praying for all of you! John is so “special”… his wife is too.:clapping:
Update:
DBIL is in treatment now…though he does not have cancer…he has a very rare and grave disease of the spine . The doctors have only seen 4 cases of it ever so his treatment will largely be “experimental” The doctors are hopeful… .DBIL remains completely confident in God’s will for him.
Please continue your prayers…🙂

I really would appreciate prayers for my sister and her husband. I think my prayers alone wouldn’t be enough. Her problem is so deep.

She met her husband in 2000, only married for few short years. He is dying a slow degenerative death. The disease is motor neurone.

She is becoming depleted physically, emotionally and mentally. He will not accept respite from anyone other than his wife. She has to wake 5 times overnight to massage his leg muscles(sp) it was 9 times, he now takes a sleeping tablet.

She is wanting to give up this life with his sleeping tablets. I am so scared that she will do this, she has spoke of this a few times.

No one can understand what she is enduring. It is awful what is happening to him, but he is somewhat selfish. She is going to have a major meltdown if she does not replenish her energy.

I have been to help, but this is only a bandaid, for her, nothing permanent. I live 3000 km away. I sent her a letter and told her to be firm, for her and his sake, in what she needs to best help him, I asked her to survive this.

The statistics that the ill outlive the carer is overwhelming, either succuming to illness themselves due to meltdown or suicide.

Please keep Angela and Colin in your prayers.

The name of the disease is Mastocytosis he is being treated w/ chemotherapy… Doctors are optimistic.🙂
With all the prayers storming Heaven, I believe John will get well again…:yup:

Just got off the phone with Pat and I had also received an e-mail from Rick this morning and wanted to let everyone know the latest on Dakota. The have removed some of his IV’s and put a central line into his neck for hopefully better access. They have tried everything and nothing is working so he has all of the doctors pretty well stumped. Pat said that they are thinking that he has both a viral and bacterial infection in his lungs. They also have brought in a lung specialist and he is planning on doing a bronchoscopy on him sometime today so that he can actually see what is going on his little lungs. The little guy is a fighter and hanging in there. Pat said that as soon as she heard more from Rick today that she would call me so as soon as I know more I will let everyone know.

For my friend Richard, who got downsized at work a month ago. May he find a job soon and may he not worry as he waits patiently for and answer to his prayer for a new job. He is really worried as he is almost 50 and it is hard to start all over again.

thank you for your prayers. my surgery will be this Tuesday afternoon 1:30 pm. Please pray that the surgeon will be guided by the Holy Spirit and do a good job w/o complications.

Also, please pray for my sister…she is having Braxton hicks contractions regularly now and my parents are worried that she will go before her due date 3/22. She is high risk and needs a c-section or her uterus will rupture if she goes into full labor.

God Bless.
~Lisa

Please pray for my cousin. She’s only 15, and already making all the wrong choices. She hangs out with the wrong crowd at school who are influencing her to do very bad things. She has an impure relationship with a boy. I talked to her today about it, because she decided to tell me about what she did with her boyfriend. I think she was expecting me to be all happy for her or something, but I wasn’t, and couldn’t pretend I was. I told her that it was wrong, and God wouldn’t want her to do what she did. She told me that it was just a part of life to make mistakes, so it shouldn’t matter. I told her that it does, and being human is not an excuse. We aren’t forced to sin, it our choice. I’m really hoping that I got to her, and that she’ll change. I beg you to pray for her. I love my cousin very much.

Please pray for my family and my discernment re a job promotion. I am offered a supervisory position and frankly I am in a crossroad. Thanks and God Bless.

Irene

MIZPAH – The Lord watch between me and thee when we are absent one from the other.

I’d like to request prayers for the junior-high aged brother of a friend who fell suddenly seriously ill today and is in the ICU.

Thanks.

I will be going shortly for Adoration in a Monastery of nuns (I am slated for 1:00AM-2AM)…and all of these intentions will be brought before the throne of God in the blessed Sacrament.

Hi

I asked for prayers a little while ago for my poor mother who’s just undergone some surgery (fairly minor and planned, thank heavens). Just to let you guys know she’s come through ok, so whatever you were doing it helped! Keep it up and she’ll zoom through her recovery!

Could use some prayers for myself too - my studies aren’t progressing as well as I’d like 😦

Praying for everyone else’s intentions as well of course.

http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/icons/icon1.gif My turn to cry
My son Ian was born Monday the 13th of Feb at 27weeks. He succumbed to a blood infection 8hrs later, and died at 3:30am in my arms. My DH and I are devastated; trying to answer my 5yo’s questions on why God did such a mean thing to us. I have done my best to explain what I don’t even understand, and ask for your prayers these next couple of weeks as we hang on by our fingernails. We’re really just numb at this point. And I thought multiple miscarriages were my cross in this life… 😦
