Amen.eccl 9:5-6
5. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any [thing] that is done under the sun.
Now, I’m not responding to Lollipops, since she doesn’t want any answers that don’t say “By golly, you’re right! We should all drop our faith and join miss lollipops and her [two] pastors.”
However, I notice that many seem to have made the claim (or implication) that Ecclesiastes is “outdated” or somehow contradicts the rest of Scripture, but I have to (somewhat) agree with her here. Ecclesiastes is the inspired Word of God, & is just as true and inerrant today as when it was written.
That said, it should probably be noted that since the Bible cannot contradict itself, the passage she keeps repeating (and repeating, and repeating, and repeating, …) talks about eternal death rather than physical death.
Of course! And all through the power of Christ, as perfected members of the Body of Christ. You keep claiming to be such a biblical scholar - I find it surprising you don’t remember the many miracles being stated all over the book of Acts. The apostles healed many people, and both Peter & Paul raised physically dead people back to life.Saints who have died can bring others back to life?
Careful, you sound like the scribes who questioned the authority given to men to forgive sins, which Jesus passed on to the apostles and their successors (which has been pointed out to you more than once.)Can they also forgive sins?
Good one! It’s THROWING a Hail Mary which imperils your salvation.
Sorry, it’s football season.
