These poor examples of parenting will have to answer for their abandoning of their roles on judgement day. Until then, we can just have some people on Catholic Answers shrug and ask “what’s the big deal?”
Yes indeed. All involved will stand before Christ on Judgement Day and answer for their part in this depravity.
There is no compromise with evil. There is absolutely no compromise with the systematic perversion of children being done under the pretenses of “diversity” and “inclusion,” now become euphemisms for corruption of the innocent. What a sick, sick world!

Drag queen or not, having children lie on top of a complete stranger is a safeguarding issue. Such contact is wildly inappropriate. You’d think after all of these sex abuse scandals people would try to be more cautious.
Being “tolerant” and “accepting” doesn’t override being cautious.
If parents feel uncomfortable, you must not give into peer pressure.

Do little children there crawl around and lay on the bodies (including the groin area, obviously), of adult male strangers?

The thing is–the more people fall under the influence of the devil, the bolder he becomes.
I predict we’ll see worse. Though I do pray for Christ to return soon, and start the reaping before even more children are hurt.

I was merely pointing out that ‘drag’ isn’t, in itself, particularly problematic.

I don’t expect drag artists to be any more or less problematic than any other males - how many drag queens have abused children/how many clergy of various denominations/religions have abused children?

What kind of sex abuse could possibly take place considering that all of this took place in public in front of a lot of people with the parents of the children presumably present?

And your thoughts about 3 and 4 year olds crawling around on a grown man’s body?

Children do that kind of thing with family members and no one thinks anything of it. And statistically, children are probably more likely to be sexually abused by a family member or a family friend than by a stranger.

It would depend on a lot of factors and my appreciation of the male involved - are you saying that all males are aroused by contact with children of that age?

Why would any stranger ask parents to allow their children to lie on top of them? That’s strange by any standard. Sex abuse doesn’t have to involve blatantly obvious physical contact.

Absolutely. Some don’t even seem to understand what constitutes inappropriate touching of children–regardless of how many individuals are standing around watching, and enabling the behavior. By that “logic” rape must be okay, so long as there are people standing around encouraging it!

No, it does not. Public school Mandated Reporter training, Catholic Virtus or Safe Environment training, any training course for adults working with children states that unequivocally.
And what kind of grown man would want to lay on his back and have children explore his body?

I don’t think we know what the circumstances were surrounding the pictures that have sparked all this outrage. I doubt that it was something as simple as the drag queen announcing, “Do you mind if your kids come and lay on top of me?” Kids can do unpredictable things, too, so maybe a few of them just rushed up and jumped on the drag queen. Kids can be kind of rambunctious sometimes.

I think you’re imagining more about all of this than what we can actually know from the pictures that were posted. I didn’t see anything to suggest that a lot of “exploring” was going on.

So it’s the fault of the children now??!
Every responsible child worker knows that children will initiate intimate contact that is inappropriate for the adults to maintain. Every responsible child worker knows to extricate themselves quickly and firmly from such contact. No responsible child worker would lay on the floor and let children crawl about on him.
I don’t see this man doing anything to extricate himself or establish boundaries. On the contrary, he has a big smile on his face.

As I’ve already said, you really need to inform yourself on the universal guidelines for adult physical contact with children in educational settings --which this travesty supposedly is. The guidelines are the same whether the adult is paid or volunteer.
And you should do that before defending this indefensible behavior any further. Otherwise you are arguing from an utter lack of understanding of proper, ethical adult-child physical contact.

From the Facebook page, it doesn’t look like a group of kids knocked the guy down.
But frankly, some parents are more concerned about being socially acceptable than the welfare of their children.

A few pre-schoolers and toddlers physically overwhelmed him and forced him to lay down and enjoy them crawling all over him. Right. How absurd.

How sad that anyone cannot immediately comprehend the visual evidence of wildly inappropriate adult-child contact in these photos.
