lol wow it contradicts nothing of what I posted. I am fine with homosexual marriages as long as it has nothing to do with Christians.
Really? Let’s take a look and find out.
Gay people should have the right to marry each other because in this nation marriage is nothing but a contract it has nothing to very little to do with religion in this nation it has more to do with benefits and the rest of the things civil unions don’t provide.
Where do you specify “as long as it has nothing to do with Christians” in this post? Seems pretty inclusive to me.
I’m only ok with Gay Marriage and Plural Marriage as long as everyone involved is of age and isn’t forced into it. Mormons need Plural Marriage in order to reach the celestial kingdom aka the highest level of Heaven.
There is no mention of excluding Christians in this post either.

Perhaps you should formulate your views so you don’t post contradictory statements. It’s hard to dialogue with someone who constantly changes positions.

actually my views are very well formulated and I didn’t change a position at all I just didn’t say as long as christians don’t do it…I didn’t know I had to be so clear…I didn’t know you don’t know the New Testament that well especially the part where St Paul says do not be worried about the people of the world.

What about where Paul explicitly condemns homosexual behavior? Why do people always conveniently leave that part out? Also, if you are going to try and use Paul to defend a position which the Church has called sinful, then you have finally admitted that you believe the Church is wrong. You are using the Bible to defend something your Church condemns.

wow again? what part of “people of the world” do you not understand also the part where Paul condemns homosexual behavior and the rest of the sins have to do with the believers not with the people of the world.

So our faith is fine as long as we keep it private? As Catholics shouldn’t we be concerned about the immortal souls of everyone?

lol I don’t know where you live but I live in America a place where people are free to do what they want to do no matter how much you hate it

So you disagree with the Church, and believe that a sin is only a sin if a Christian commits it? I smell a relativist.

Christ came to call sinners, not the righteous. Who needs Christ more than the “people of the world”? You are totally missing the point of Christianity.

listen neo con I’m tired of arguing with you this is America where people are free to live however they want to live and if a homosexual wants to get married that’s their American freedom I am not the type of person that sticks my nose in other peoples business unlike you. so I am done with this argument you can argue with the air for all I care. this is America were people have the freedom to live however they want to live.

I’m done arguing with you this is America you don’t like it leave. I’m done with this conversation.

So your patriotism trumps your Catholicism. Fine. I put Christ above my country.

there’s a separation of church and state for a reason.
And there are individual states for a reason. Hence if Tennessee, North Carolina, even California who voted for only traditional marriage twice want traditional marriage, then, the people of each individual state have a right to decide based on their values. Not that Massachusetts choices necessarily should be Federal Law but only what the people of Massachusetts want.

actually to me Jesus comes before anything you’re just the type of person that wants everyone to abide by your views. and I’m done with this conversation.

Jesus comes before everything, except for the things you don’t agree with Him about, apparently. Christ speaks through His Church. You are either for Him or against Him.

wrong. I’ve told you many many times you just wanna argue.

and by the way Jesus never says anything about homosexuality that was St Paul the same person who said do not worry about the people of the world. you just want everybody to abide by your views and your kind of people (neo cons) need to learn but that’s not how the world works and that’s definitely not how this nation was made. homosexuality is wrong for Christians but for the people of the world that’s how they do things so you can continue to whine about it or you can accept it. this is Satan’s world you are not going to change it get over yourself.

No, I don’t want to argue. I want to help you. You want to have it both ways. You want the American version of “freedom”, and you want to be a faithful Catholic. But you can’t have both. You have chosen to subordinate the teachings of Christ to the Constitution. I commend your desire to see everyone live their life the way they want to. But this is not always a good thing. We as Christians have a duty to charitably help sinners turn to Christ. We cannot help them if we condone their immoral behavior, even if they are not Christians.

actually no I have not chosen to subordinate the teachings of Christ of the Constitution I’m just not stupid and I know how this world works.

also I don’t condone their behavior it is called separating yourself from the world and not being naive enough to think you’re going to change the whole world.

And the Constitution delegates powers to the State, hence, at a minimum, there is no reason to impose same-sex marriage on all states.
