lol I’m not gonna debate I said my opinion on same sex marriage.
You are aware that homosexual “marriages” (if such things were even possible) are forbidden by the Church? And that as Catholics we may not support homosexual “marriages” even in a civil sense, lest we show ourselves to be in support of something gravely disordered.

just because I’m Catholic doesn’t mean everyone else in the country is Catholic. I’m not going to sit there and deny somebody there rights all because of my religion.

I was raised as an American not as a fascist. my parents taught me better than that.

You are certainly entitled to hold that opinion. All I am saying is it doesn’t line up with a Catholic worldview. If everyone else wanted to commit murder, would that be ok with you? After all, we don’t ever want to deny someone their right to murder others. You see, when something is objectively wrong, its wrong for everyone. Morality is universal, and should be enforced as such. It isn’t just a Catholic view that homosexuality is disordered - its an objective truth.

This is saying, I have the right to redefine Marriage for every Man, Woman and Child in the Country. No thanks, this is as much of tyranny as your insinuating you are not going to “deny” other people rights. Such decision making would seem to make mainstream certain behaviors as well.

um yeah I am my own person you can have your view and I have mine. homosexuality is a sin but I’m not going to sit there and have the people of the world who are not even Christians abide by my beliefs even St Paul says do not worry about the people of the world.

You completely failed to address the issue I raised in my previous post.

lmao actually marriage has been redefined many times throughout history the Christian religion does not hold the rights to “marriage” as it is much older than Judaism and Christianity combined and homosexual marriages have been going on even before judaism was created.

what the issue that you think homosexuality is the same as murder? I didn’t address it because it’s complete nonsense to think that two people who love each other is the same murder

the bottom line is if you’re not a christian then you should not have to abide by Christian rules if a person of the world is a homosexual and wants to have a homosexual marriage who am I to judge?

Murder was simply an example of something that is blatantly objectively evil. Our Church tells us that Homosexual actions are also objectively evil. I never said the two were the same in degree. Do you believe the Church is wrong about the issue of homosexuality?

no but again I do not think everybody should hold to my views.

This contradicts several of your previous posts, in which you stated that you are personally fine with and support homosexual marriages. So which is it? Is the Church wrong or are you wrong?

Wouldn’t the next part of this be “if a person of the world is a bigamist or believes in purdah or suttee or child marriage or genital mutilation of women, who am I to judge?”

lol wow it contradicts nothing of what I posted. I am fine with homosexual marriages as long as it has nothing to do with Christians.

and again I care nothing about plural marriage as long as everyone is consenting and adults. Mormons for example need to have plural marriage in order to reach the celestial Kingdom. you’re on a lower level than I am get on my level then maybe you’ll understand.
