Exactly. So if you scale the original statement to the population you are you are talking 500 converts to 32 converts. The 500 vs 32,000 is misleading.
You see, CARM is a problem for all Christians not just Catholics. The “Christians” on CARM are equally justified in their positions as any other non-Catholic Christian and there is no definitive way for either side to argue who is right. There are many good Christians here on CAF but even they cannot authoritatively correct the people on CARM leading to confusion within Christianity. This is not the case in Catholicism.I took a look at the CARM forums and these people are soooooooooo hostile toward Catholics. I knew anti-Catholicism existed but these people are just so rude.
The argument that seems to come up the most is they keep insisting Catholicism is man made. Despite attending a Catholic school for 8 years with a “Religion” class but not Catechism class, most of what I’ve learned about our Faith has come from online, including CAF.
So…my question. How do we know that our Faith is the first Christian Church and really does go back to Jesus Himself, and St.Peter?
I know Fauken already answered your question, but as someone who will also know a Bible verse but not remember chapter and verse, I find Google is actually pretty useful so long as you remember some of the key words. With all the online Bibles, one of them is bound to come up at the top. So it’s been helpful for me when I can’t remember chapter/verse.The bible verse that you could refer to is the “You are Peter…and on this rock, I will build my church.”
I can’t remember what verse or what book that was from. Friends, would you help me out?
Out of curiosity, where from? I honestly wouldn’t have expected it to be sold given how short it is.I just recently bought the Didache.
There’s a difference between a Didache Bible and The Didache. The Didache, also known as Teaching of the Apostles, is an early Christian writing not included in the Bible. Here’s a link to a translation of it from New Advent. What do you mean by “short”? It’s a decent sized Bible.
I have to ask.. This is not the case in Catholicism.
