once you realize there is only One Church the rest is easy…A lot of repetition, PR. You’ve yet to prove your assertion.
so why do you not think its the Catholic Church?

Personally, I tend to think that it isn’t necessary. The total number of denominations is an interesting statistic, but it doesn’t really do much for us practically (excepting, of course, those who statisticiansPlease provide for me the 40,000 names of each.).
I don’t speak for moondweller (to say the least!) but if I thought that the Catholic Church taught that “The Pope is infallible whenever he speaks on faith and morals” then I’m pretty sure I, too, would have trouble accepting it as the one true Church. Thank goodness I’m well-informed about what the Church really teaches!once you realize there is only One Church the rest is easy…

That’s very Catholic of you to say that, 1beleevr!Those who were chosen by God, to interpret and record His Word, did so infalibly, because of His direction!
well the RCC goes back to the time of the apostles…Still tring to figure out the theme of this thread; “Protestants:Could you do us all a favor?”What favor would that be? It seems like we’re in a discussion about fallibility, and infallibility, who is who isn’t! I tend to believe, that with the exception of Jesus, all those who wear(wore) flesh are fallible! Those who were chosen by God, to interpret and record His Word, did so infalibly, because of His direction! Not sure who these men are(with the exception of the apostles)!
i think it is necessary because we humanoids need to be shown how - the extent to which - the Word of God has been … misinterpreted…Personally, I tend to think that it isn’t necessary. i just posted about the criteria that is necessary for it to be an infallible teaching… I cna’t recall , at this time, all the criteria… but it is nOT like the pope can just say something casually and the whole Church needs to “jump and run” or what have you…I don’t speak for moondweller (to say the least!) but if I thought that the Catholic Church taught that “The Pope is infallible whenever he speaks on faith and morals” then I’m pretty sure I, too, would have trouble accepting it as the one true Church. Why would calling your belief a Catholic belief be an insult on a Catholic Forum?PRmerger: Not sure if that is a compliment or an insult! One of the things I love about being a non-denominational Christian, is the lack of a title; other than believer!![]()
wow… that’s awesome…CATHOLIC!!! (Roman Catholic!)![]()
yes but there are other lacks to deal with as well…PRmerger: Not sure if that is a compliment or an insult! One of the things I love about being a non-denominational Christian, is the lack of a title; other than believer!![]()
If you never question, then you’re contradicting Scripture, 1beleevr.Ever Loyal To The Saviour; Never Questioning!!!
What’s puzzling is that in post #466 Zundrah says she recently went to a Catholic Mass for the first time and was denied Communion because she’s not Catholic.wow… that’s awesome…
congratulations…
have you posted your testimony (as they call it in the non-Catholic churches)??
i (& others here) enjoy conversion stories…
only one problem:distracted:The discussion about which church was the one founded by Jesus, has become one which is no longer debatable! On the Judgement Day, it will no longer matter what church you were a part of on eathTher will not be nametags, identifying you as a catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, etc.
hmmm… that’s weird…What’s puzzling is that in post #466 Zundrah says she recently went to a Catholic Mass for the first time and was denied Communion because she’s not Catholic.![]()
the only problem is that sometimes we frail humans think we know what Jesus wants from us, only to find out (usually the hard way :crying::banghead:What I mean, is that I never question my SaviourI am becoming more humble, and more obedient, as I mature in my walk(Phil 1:6) So I am ever loyal to my King!
Well said. The Pope is infallible whenever he makes an ex cathedra statement – which is to say whenever, in the exercise of his office of chief shepherd and teacher of all Christians, he defines a matter of faith and morals to be believed by all.It is to be publicly interpreted by an infallible Church…
The pope is not infallible in all he says and does… he is only infallible when speaking for Jesus Christ… in ex-cathedra statements…
