Protestants: Have you changed your mind on anything "Catholic" because of something said on these forums?

Don’t think I am a closet Cacholic. Have been Roman Catholic for seventy years since I was Baptized. Although I don’t carry my faith on my sleeve, neither do I deny being Catholic.

well, that rather explains things to me… I wear my Catholicism on my sleeve & everywhere else… but i have learned that this world has nothing to offer me so i don’t care if “they” deprive me of “education” (so called) or not… i just wnt to spend all my time with Jesus anyway… I have seen about all the evil i can bear… wouldn’t mind if God took me now… Sometimes i even ask him to… but God’s will be done…

I am relatively new to these forums. You are so negative about the CC and yet I notice that you have been around for a year or so and have made 910 posts.

If the CC is just a bunch of lies why do you hang around? Beats me!

When one says that one is not treated equally on this forum one should reflect that perhaps the person who is answering you might be someone like me - a “poster” and not someone working for Catholic Answers.

When I see some of the postings I know FOR SURE that it was not posted by anyone with CA.

Yes, I always thought that Catholics believed that being saved required faith, required one to believe, but I’ve come to understand how the church teaches that one potentially doesn’t even need to believe in Jesus in order to receive eternal life through him.

Even unbelievers can be saved through something like a baptism of desire that they would have done, if they had but known.

That was a rather strange concept to me…

Charity: concern for, and active helping of, others.

Charity is the reason I worked so long at trying to have discussions with theCoach.

My apologies if I came off sounding harsh.
The fellow in question has been quite abusive to me and others on these forums.
I have spent quite a bit of time replying to his charges, only to have them ignored or rudely dismissed.
I’ve seen many others have the same experience with theCoach.

At what point is it okay for me to treat him as a gentile and a tax collector?

the Church’s teaching on baptism sates that baptism cause a regeneration in the soul-born again-…if you knew what baptism does for your soul why wouldn’t you do it?:confused: ?we are to be judged justly and not unfairly,so in all fairness cause one doesn’t do something they would have done if the knew they were to do it means they will be cast away?
